I don't mind it... I don't like it as much as I thought I was going to though, sadly. But then I am a fan of the Kermit Oris too.

Feel like quoting movies from that era (“I’m getting too old for this!”). Initial reaction was no. Second look is still not for me but maybe not so bad as a fun piece (spotted the ‘Hiss Made’ at 6?). Although price is steep for a fun watch!

I’m not sure what this does for the brand - if you’re happy to drop over £1k on something like this will your normal watch budget and interest be in the higher echelon brands rather than being tempted by a standard Twelve? Assuming CW have done their research and there is a market for this that lets face it might not be a majority of people on this Forum. They must see a benefit in doing this and the Desk Diver. However I note it is not a limited edition but is being sold in a limited time period on pre-order for July. Wonder if that suggests a limited confidence it will sell and they’ll do the build run based on the number of orders. Probably means any leftovers/returns won’t appear until sale in Jan ‘26

£1,050? It’s not a bad starting price but they need to up their offer before I agree to take it off their hands.

this. it's a strong no from me. as someone else mentioned, i'm sure there's a niche for this, but i ain't in that niche.

it's a lot of cash for a kitsch / marmite watch.

It certainly creates an opinion and a discussion.
I cannot work out if I like it or I don’t like it.
Certainly I don’t get a strong rejection/dislike as others have voiced.

I think that because I’m from the snake generation I kind of like the idea.
I also like some of the details.
I even like the fluorescent green but as a package and at that price point when there are other CW watch I definitely do like I’m not sure.
Definitely more appealing on the rubber strap.

Yes, this! I ain't in that niche neither! I wonder what they're smoking in that fancy new office of theirs to come up with this!

Just doesn't ring my bell at all I'm afraid. I'm sure it will sell though.
If I think about a recent release like the Dune, a really decent all round watch at a super reasonable price. When I look at this, it's a very niche, slightly overpriced product that I can't see many wearing in everyday scenarios.
It's not a piece I asp-ire to.

If I want a whimsical lime green watch the Oris Kermit ProPilot is still the one, imo.

Remember that this is a collaboration model and is available for pre-order only a limited time.

"Designed with genius watch-tinkerer Romaric from seconde/seconde/ (the man behind the C65 Desk Diver) the 40mm Twelve Snake brings our integrated watch together with a dose of digital nostalgia from when the only game on your phone was Snake."

Despite my personal impressions, I recall that the C65 Desk Diver sold out in a few days. It will be awhile, but I should get numbers on The Snake when the order window closes.

I really don't understand this random launch. Not sure who or what it's inspired by or the market it's trying to target

[Edit] just read Kip's post - helpful context. Still non-plussed by it

Super lazy design and the whole purchase window thing means they aren't confident enough in the design to commit to a production number. It's garbage like this and the previous Desk Diver that makes serious collectors shy away from the brand.

Not random; launch dovetails with the Lunar / Chinese New Year today for the year of the Snake.

A harmless bit of fun. As was the desk diver, a watch that I found particularly on point for office dwellers. A point confirmed when it came in for a pasting from (checks notes)… :)

A bunch of office dwellers, who were now allowed to be home desk dwellers a few days a week!

I have three different models of the Twelve and this release won’t diminish by one iota my enjoyment of those watches, or the other two Twelve models that I anticipate buying this year.
