New to the forum, but I've eyed Christopher Ward watches off and on over the years. I'm generally a one watch at a time guy, same watch all day every day. For the last 4-ish years that's been a Seiko Sarb033, and it's always been a black dial watch. Now I've been looking at the 36mm Sealander with white dial for a change of pace, but it comes across a little bland without the pops of orange from its big brother (second hand, indices, WR text).
Does anyone think we'll see a 36mm Sealander GMT? Don't have any use for GMT, but it would add visual interest.

Welcome. Do please visit the Member Introduction section and tell us about yourself.
You sort of half did that anyway.
As to your question, who knows? It might depend on perceived demand or even whether the movement would fit.

Re: Sealander 36mm GMT?
Theoretically it could be done I think. The SW330 is thinner than the SW200 movement. I think it would probably have a plane bezel in order to keep the proportions correct.

In that case you would probably need an inner 24 hour ring for the GMT, no?

Re: Sealander 36mm GMT?
Yes. It could either be printed on the dial or incorporated into the rehaut. I think if it was on the bezel the dial would look pretty tiny to modern eyes.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 7:34 pmIn that case you would probably need an inner 24 hour ring for the GMT, no?

Re: Sealander 36mm GMT?
^^^ A more dressy style sports watch GMT, with a plain bezel and 1-24 on the rehaut or dial seems an excellent idea. Type of thing that forward thinking forumites would come up with.

Rotating GMT ring? GMT window like the UN?
A traveller GMT for the SH21 would be amazing, but
I can’t see it in 36mm.

Re: Sealander 36mm GMT?
Interesting topic / post, as I too have been eyeing the white dial (though on the 39mm) Sealander. And I totally agree--that orange GMT hand really makes the watch imho.

Re: Sealander 36mm GMT?
I really wish all the non gmt models were just a bit more interesting looking, especially the 36 mm
Re: Sealander 36mm GMT?
Going to veer the discussion a little in my own thread…I’m watch shopping now, so whether or not they do a GMT or otherwise jazz up the 36mm version, it doesn’t really help me now.
Instead, I’m now trying to decide between 36mm and 39mm. Wrist is 6.75 inches, and I generally like my watch to be unobtrusive and out of the way of activity, so I immediately assumed 36mm was the right answer. Starting to question that now since the “big” one is still less than 40mm.
Only thing I have to visually compare to is my SARB033 (wrist shot below). Before that, I wore a Seiko SKX007 for several years. Larger diameter, but short lugs and not a large diameter dial.

Re: Sealander 36mm GMT?
Either one will look fine. The 36 and 39 both wear visiually larger due to the large dial. The 36 will be a little closer to the Sarb.
Sarb - 38mm x11mm thick by 44mm ltl.
36 mm - 36mm x 11mm x 43mm ltl.
39mm - 39mm x 11.25mm x 46mm ltl.
All three of these are extremely wearable.
If you like esthetics of the 39 better I would go that direction.
Here is my 39 on my 7 1/2" wrist.
For comparison here is a 35mm on me.
And a 38 mm.
