Post by Helix Von Smelix »

Is Scooter trying to tell us something regarding days he will never work again?

Easy life. :clap: :clap: :thumbup:

Helix

I'm 59 and been doing the same job for 39 years 2 months. I had an opportunity to take partial retirement meaning that I'll be doing my last year at about half time being Monday, Tuesday and alternate Wednesdays.

I start on the morrow and **** off most of my colleagues last week by chanting 'no more Thursdays, they'll never be another Thursday'. I did the same on Friday. This was accompanied by singing football chants most of the day and high fives all round. Enough was apparently enough when Friday I stood on my desk, turning through 360 degrees, pointing at everyone and singing 'loser, loser'. Just as well they all love me really.

Thanks AVO :)

Lodders mate. Thanks for that. The trouble is I tend to puke up on buses. Nice thought though. :kotz:

You're not West Country then?

OK

morrow = tomorrow
**** off = upset
football chants = English songs sung at football, sorry 'soccer' :roll: matches. These tend to be abusive to the other side.
high five = a silly thing that Yanks do all the time (ask a mate, sorry 'friend').
loser = loser
puke = vomit :kotz:
AVO = Amor Vincit Omnia (Latin for 'Love conquers All')
Lodders = Loddonite (my internet virtual drinking pal, sorry 'friend')
Philadelphia = a type of cheese

Jeez, why is life so hard.

Ah, so Scooter old chap you're joining us cripples in being partially useless to society? It's wonderful being on the scrap heap of life and we get plenty of time to obsess on the finer things: watches, good looking women, watches, walks in the country, watches, trips out for lunch, watches, fishing (if that's your bag), watches... and so on.

Of course, you could always read a good book, may I recommend "War and Peace" it will make your days seem much longer :D

Good on yer lad, you've earned it, bloody enjoy it.
