Satisfied Customer

Post by alanh »

Thought I should give some feedback as I took receipt of my first CW watch recently - a C3SKS. As I had not seen one in the flesh as it were, and was going from the info in the website and the really useful forum, I had decided to take a chance. Was looking at pre owned Omega Seamaster at approx £700.
Firstly I was very impressed with speed of delivery, 2 days from order, and with presentation of the packaging, including letter from Chris ! Very professional.
The watch was a delightful surprise, much nicer than I had anticipated with the quality of the workmanship really standing out. I have shown the watch to extended family and work colleagues all of whom are into watches - all were very impressed and interested to know how to get one !
Will probably treat myself again soon - I like the C1 Russell but feel it should be Auto or Manual Wind rather than quartz, but thats my opinion. If you are thinking of trying a CW, go ahead you will not be dissapointed, a much better watch than typical high price offerings from the mainstream. Am delighted !!

Sounds pretty much par for the course. ;-)

The C3 is a very classy chronograph. I'd say that, in terms of individuality, it is the most CW'ish chrono. I am also partial to the Red Peregrine, but the C3 just has more class. I don't have one, but I've seen it in the flesh... when I ordered my C5 and my wife's W1, the shipment included a C3 for a friend.

I partially agree with you about the Russell... in my opinion, this should really be a hand-wound.

If you are into divers, you may want to take a look at the Kingfisher, a true diver rated at 1000 ft. There is currently a Limited Edition subscription going for a blue-faced Kingfisher Automatic, with the rhodium-finished ETA 2824-2 movement. Take a peek in the CW-Forum Limited Edition folder to see what this will be like. The "artist's impression" that you might come across there doesn't do the watch justice AT ALL... if you want to see what the watch looks like, you might want to take a look at

I agree. A LE hand wound?
