Mine arrived. It’s a perfect size for me. There’s a small knick in the bezel at about 12 o’clock, but otherwise it’s in perfect condition. I’m more than happy with it, especially for darn near half off!

Would absolutely participate in sample sale again.

I’ve also got a Dune in green and bronze that was a pre-order for April and am wondering when that will ship.

I was in the right place at the right time to pick up the Bel Canto in Dragonfly Blue during the sample sale. This is my first Bel Canto and second CW. I feel incredibly lucky to have the boutique exclusive, as I live nowhere near their locations!

The dial is absolutely gorgeous and is reminiscent the color of a clear Caribbean ocean. It also changes with the light, and is a deeper blue in darker environments and almost a sea green when outdoors and bright. To be honest, teal/turquoise can sometimes look really tacky if not executed correctly — this is not the case. In fact, it’s my (totally unbiased) new favorite BC color. Another watch that I think does this well is IWC’s new Ingenieur.

Thinking of getting a strap for this. Any ideas on what color it could go well with?

Perfect fit, Alex. Think this is my favourite of the dial colours for the 12. What are your early impressions of the watch?

Thanks Des. It’s so very wearable. The proportions are perfect and it feels almost weightless. I tried on the 12 36mm in SS, and the extra millimeter in thickness with the added weight made it feel a little top heavy to me. That was before I tried on the ti version, so it wasn’t even in comparison.

The bracelet is slinky and drapes around the wrist beautifully. Mine doesn’t have the micro adjust clasp but the half links are small enough to get a good fit.

The dial is a wonder, constantly changing. The ziggurats are very reflective. It’s still very legible though.

I’m a happy camper!

Absolutely. It’s clear why Rolex attempted (poorly) to copy it :D

I think the reef blue rubber strap would go well with that. I think that's the blue aquaflex rubber, rather than the light blue. Although the light blue might work as well, and the blue/light blue luminous as well.

Or try leather - black to start with. :D

I went. I held a bel canto and put it down only for it to be snatched away. Regretting not getting a twelve there, there were many. Next time I’ll know better
