I’ve never reversed the clasp on a bracelet because the ability to remove and shift links from one side or the other has achieved the same result for me. Now I do reverse straps with deployant clasps to get them to sit better on my wrist.

Some time ago I bought a pre-owned Trident that had the bracelet reversed. As more links had to be put back into it I had the bracelet returned to the "correct" way as opening and closing a reversed bracelet felt awkward.

I’m still trying this and it certainly feels better on the wrist. I get a weird pressure feeling with it the other way around. I guess it’s down to wrist shape maybe.

I think it’s exactly that! If it’s comfortable for you, that’s all that matters.

Exactly the same for me… I always make the six o’clock side much shorter than the other, and then the bracelets sit perfectly (the normal way round).

Deployants sit better too (for me) though when reversed

I find the thicker end pushes against my wrist when normal way around when central etc. reversed the clasp seems to sit flatter on my wrist and the watch doesn’t not rotate. Feels weird like I’m doing something odd but comfort level is way better!

And I'm thinking: "reversing a bracelet clasp" - not inside out surely? No, you mean simply popping the bracelet off with the advantage of quick-release captive spring bars and refitting it upside down?

I think you've created a simple solution (what the tick tock generation would call a "hack") to a first world problem   If it works for you that's the bestest thing of all.

Here's a thing though: does anyone wear their watch "dial down" i.e. on the inside of the wrist (especially on bracelet) these days?

Problem?

Bracelet…strap…I put them on, I wear them, I take them off. Occasionally I’ll adjust the ratchet or use a different strap hole.

Maybe I have a lucky wrist or else I live in a pre-Columbian Utopia?

I wear my C5 Malvern 595 with the Bader clasp reversed. I may try reversing the bracelet on some of my other watches with quick change ends, since my watches tend to spin too far the 12:00 side.

Alway, always shorten the 6 o’clock side of your bracelet, even going as far as sometimes adding 1 or 2 links into the 12 o’clock side. The clasp opens naturally; the clasp sits in the centre of your inner wrist; and it significantly reduces the tendency of the watch head to migrate northwards on your wrist.

It’s all to do with with the relative sizes and movement/positioning of the two bones in your wrist. They are not identical and bracelets should not be sized to be same either side if you want them to sit properly. I posted a drawing of this a few years ago, but I’m feeling too lazy to find it and repost it here.

Of course everyone is different, so this simply applies to the vast majority of people.
