Replacing a quartz movement

Post by scrw »

Have an old C60 300 that got killed by Timpsons ages ago, not worth sending back to CW for repair so contemplating swapping out the movement myself. According to the archive it has a Ronda 715 or 515 movement. Does anyone know the full specs of the movement so I can order one, seems to be plenty out there.

The 515s and 715s are available in different variations with different hour wheel heights to accommodate dials of different thicknesses. The Ronda spec sheets give some guidance as to the version to choose- the higher the version number, the taller the hour hand will fit.

Eg for the 715-

So you'd need to accurately check the dial thickness and order the H0, H1 or H2 up to H5 etc to suit.
