In need of some guidance - I've just bought a C2 Lido IPK from the 'Wera sofa finds' and its come on black strap as they couldn't supply a bracelet (I've an issue with the strap supplied, but that's not a conversation for this thread).
I understand the Lido had unusual shoulders, so can anyone recommend a bracelet for an IPK that would fit the bill. I understand this search could be a bit niche, especially as I'm not looking to spend more than £50.00.
Any idea's or second hand bracelets in drawers anywhere for this beauty?
Cheers
Steve

IMHO two hopes. . .
Bob Hope and no hope.
Sorry; other than picking up a pre-owned bracelet, perhaps with watch that you could then resell with your strap.
A possible alternative might be to get something like a super engineer bracelet and modify the end pieces.

Re: Recommendations for a new strap for my IPK Lido
Is your issue with the C20 strap in general, or specifically with yours?
I recently bought a new black leather strap for mine, and Chris told me at the time he is ordering some more in black and brown.
(And no, my bracelet isn't for sale, sorry)

Yeah, a problem with the strap it came with - no hooped bit to catch the excess strap in once you've pinned it (hard to explain - hope you know what I mean?!?). Chris sent me two in the post but both split trying to get them over the buckle. Now awaiting Chris's reply regarding next steps to resolve.
Really wanted it on bracelet originally, Chris thought he could make up a bracelet but alas, didn't have enough bits.
Sounds like a bit of a fruitless search for one elsewhere. I did think as much, but thanks for both of your replies....

The "hooped bit" is called a keeper.
As for the strap, you can always look for a standard 26mm and get it notched to fit.
A bracelet is a different issue.

I have both a C20 and a (new to me) black C2 IPK. If anyone has done as Kip recommends, can you please upload some pix? It would be great to see what can be done...
Thanks
Fergus

If I am not mistaken the keepers have to be fitted / threaded over the strap from the lug end once, unfortunately, the strap is off the watch. Trying as you did to stretch it over the buckle, as you discovered, usually splits or stretches it so it will fall off anyway.GINGER1974 wrote:Yeah, a problem with the strap it came with - no hooped bit to catch the excess strap in once you've pinned it (hard to explain - hope you know what I mean?!?). I know the C2 is a bit of a wotsit.......I couldn't even fit the bracelet, and had to leave the leather on.
Anyway.........GOOD LUCK !!

Either as Winnie Bloo has suggested or, with the strap on the watch, remove the buckle, slide keeper on and refit buckle.
Simples!
