Re-Branding and new models
Re: Re-Branding and new models
The only thing I didn't really like about the old logo was the mix of upper case size Chr. and WARD name. But that was only a very minor thing.
If they just slightly updated their old wordmark, they could have sold current and new watches next to each other. I liked the W inside the C for a logo. Or even just use the initials with that distinctive W.

watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

Same here... However, I don't feel strongly about the new logo. In my book simplicity is always a good thing.missF wrote:wow, you stay away from the forum for just a few days and the company goes and does a complete 'rebrand'! ........... with a new logo!!!
Well, one can argue about the uninspired font, but the new C65, especially the vintage version, looks good to me and is quite tempting at 38mm. I actually prefer it to the two C61s I have got . It kind of reminds me of the Mondaine Helvetica range that uses a similar font and the logo is at half past three.
Will I get one of the new watches? No, but not because of the new logo. I just don't need another watch and so far CW (with or without L) hasn't released a watch I really wanted to have since I bought the two C61s. It also didn't help when I read that my wrists are not too thin for big watches on their new website (I don't need serious oomph; no, 43mm watches don't look good on me, and the strap can be as short as it wants to be! It won't change my opinion!). I find it condescending if someone tells me what kind of sizes I should like. The last forum chat comes to my mind when Christopher said that the C60 chrono was designed for real men...

Heh heh. I so agree.

I see that the C600 with two redundant pushers has been corrected on the website - you would like to think some has one of these over this boo boo
But, there has been a massive missed opportunity to optimise confusion and incoherence on the 'Watches' front page:
If the new C65 MKII had been on there as a dress watch example they could have had an example of each logo from birth to...whatever this is

I don't think the edgy, disruptive designers even comprehend people who don't have an Apple.matengawhat wrote:Website still doesn't work on Android, this isn't a big fix

Yup, seems to work fine in landscape but in portrait the 'boxes' are not big enough for the available text.matengawhat wrote:Just realised that on Android if you turn your phone through 90 degrees so is landscape everything fits, never seen a website only optimised for landscape, can anyone else confirm works?matengawhat wrote:Website still doesn't work on Android, this isn't a big fix
