Will the C7 be receiving an automatic movement in the future?

I'd hazard a guess that the answer will be no. It's now well into its second generation and has always been quartz. Maybe we should be looking for a new version of the C700 perhaps?

Will they be bringing out a proper GMT bezel for the C60gmt instead of the weird **** version that ruins the current one.

It seems that we are hearing of more QC issues (Bezels, pips, dings on case, hands, etc) and/or movement problems lately. Do you still think that your returns (faults) rate is at 1% as has been stated on the forum? Would you explain how the fault percentage is determined please? Are the returns where the watch is returned to customer with the original problem re-manifesting being counted as part of the same incident?

Do you have plans to reevaluate the QC process?

Re: Current Website: To many, some models/pages are overwhelming to view. Clicking on a page, say "white tridents" for example, shows up to dozens of thumbnails of what are at first sight identical watches, with the actual variation being the strap/bracelet and sometimes the bezel. Similar with the C3, C5 where you have all the dial color variations and strap variations as well.

Would a bit of clever website development along the lines of "Configure my CW" would be
appropriate? A lot of car and watch companies seem to do this. How would that interior look
with red leather trim? How would that watch look with a purple dial?

A question that stems from another thread.

A recent article on A Blog To Watch examined whether manufacturers should make accuracy claims. While the author was in favour of the practice, one of the main arguments against was the increased cost of warranty service to regulate movements that are out of spec. CW states an accuracy for it's movements that are in line with the manufacturers specs. Even this is more than most companies are doing today. Does the cost of warranty servicing for accuracy add any significant cost to the price of Christopher Ward watches? Is it truly cost prohibitive for manufacturers to warranty the accuracy of watches?

Will you be bringing out an SH21 manual wind, with a power reserve indicator on the front? I'd be in. :-D

C8 P7350 - In my view, the best watch in the collection. However, it is quite out of my price range. Is/would CW consider an every day 'working' C8 watch along the same lines i.e. hand wound,no date or other complications, 42mm+ and preferably an SH21, or at least COSC?

Trying to find a good chronometer which is NOT a dress watch at an affordable (for me) price, is very difficult. As a marine navigator and yachtsman, a dress watch is not really an option, but a chronometer is essential.

+1 for the online configurator - H2O watches do this quite well (Clemens)

there are just far too many watches and variations from CW, maybe cull the poor sellers and focus on a smaller number?

I find a lot of the designs quite bland, I don't know what can be done about that, other than looking at other brands for "inspiration" - note inspiration does not mean "copy".

I quite agree. I've held off pulling the trigger on getting the C60 GMT 600 for this very reason. It's confused, bezel tries to do both and therefore fails either way. (Love the case and movement otherwise.)

That, and the metal bracelet which I'm not a huge fan of. As a mk1 C60 owner, the metal bracelet is awful to adjust and scratches up badly on the central polished section. (Yes I want a metal bracelet)

Chris was kind enough to send me an email back in February, confirming they were working on a new bracelet and buckle system for the C60. Unfortunately I've seen/heard nothing since on the website, so I'm not sure where CWL is at with this. Would be good to find out more about this.

There's been a lot of noise in the watch world recently about major brands refusing to supply spare parts to third parties. Noticeably Rolex but very soon Swatch Group (Omega, Oris, etc, etc). This is usually positioned by the manufacturer as a quality issue, ensuring the standard of repairs and servicing. But many people think it is an attempt to monopolise servicing and repairs thereby driving prices up, and in the process restricting customer choice and putting local watchmakers out of business. What is CW's policy on supplying spares to third parties?

For the SH21 they won't...see here for full piece

Christopher Ward is as restrictive as the Swatch Group – they will not sell parts for their new in-house movement to anyone…Sellita is fine, and Seiko parts tend to trickle onto the market through eBay.
