There's definitely a desire for smaller watches being expressed - it's the only reason I've not gone for some of the more recent models. Could this be asked of Chris: does he see a trend appearing for smaller watches across other brands and if so does he intend to go with it?

Following on from that - it would be interesting to ask Chris his prediction for the market:
- is it moving to more formal / more sporty watches
- is there a change in how people perceive watches and where they are made (e.g. Germany v Switzerland)
- autos v quartz v hand-wound
- ??? any trends he is aware of

Why the focus on the C9 case? It is clearly the most criticised design on the forum.
Blah, blah watchmaker's playground blah, blah.
I think we deserve a more detailed answer to be honest. :?

That's likely the only answer we'll get + "it sells"

+1 I have heard that there has been a trend towards larger cases . . . but that this trend is reversing now, and that smaller, sleeker watches are making a comeback. I'm curious how CW sees this impacting the ratio of >42mm to <41mm cases.

Q. Several of the regular posters on this forum have decided amongst themselves that the new C9 SH21 is a far too large dress watch. What's your view?

Q. You're no doubt very proud of the SH21 but using what you've learned during the process, what would you change or do differently if you could create your first movement all over again?

Q. Did the JJ calibres play any role in informing the design and manufacture of the SH21?

Plus 1 on this!

Dammit, plus 2! :)

I've been advocating this for some time, it's a really easy thing to implement with absolutely no tooling changes and bugger all cost...

And while we're at it how about a white dialled C60 with either black or blued hour and minute hands with matching hour markers, not just silver ones. Silver or red or orange second hand as well, not a third black/blue hand (of course a blue second hand would be fine with black hour/minute hands, as long as it's not too close to black in tone...).

Will the trident ceramic.SH21 be a homage to other brands like the current c60, or have a cwl specific design?

Will/when will we see a "british made" cwl watch? Will you move SH to London?

Can the SH21 be modified to a manual wind with a power reserve on the back?

What brand do you feel is cwl's current largest competition? What brand are you aiming to be your largest competition with the introduction of the SH21?

What other watch details will be improved on new models (ex: lume, crystal, bracelet...)?

Will there be any offers (discounts, fle's, purchase extras like key chains) offered exclusively to forum members as the cwl brand grows?

Yes, any new diver MUST match the rest of the market in respect to lume, currently they really don't stand out.

I'd be interested to get Chris' response on:

1) what is the value of this forum to CWL and do they take note of the comments? If so, how do they use the comments and is there anything tangible that has changed as a result of discussions/ feedback.
2) is there a C60 Mk2 in the near future? Is development underway?

Thanks
