Quartz Trident poll

Post by The Laird »

Hi Everyone, :D

Here’s yet another annoying poll!!!

Should there be a quartz Trident? Both sizes included.

Till next time…

No way this will happen since there isn't a Swiss ETA/Sellita movement, but I'd LOVE to see a smooth sweep quartz movement in a CW - especially a C60. Aesthetics of an auto with the functionality of a quartz!

I can't be the only one... can I? :silent:

Assuming it's half the price of the auto, I'm interested.

I'm in. I think it would be great to have a brilliant looking watch like that what could take a beating. A little like tissot prs200 though without the chrono!

They could use the date wheel from C70 and have the date in the right place!

I voted yes, if its a very similar price to the other CW quartz watches i.e. a fair bit cheaper than the auto then I'm sure it would do very well!

Quartz wouldn't be for me but it will be interesting to see the results. I'd rather the opposite occurred and CWL brought out an automatic Motorsport range.

Can't see the point, perfect as it is. The introduction of a quartz Trident would only fan the fames of CWL discord.

Actually, yes, why not? I think a quartz C60 at maybe the £299 price point would go down a storm.

It would attract back a lot of people who feel the brand has gone away from them a bit price wise.

Longines, Tag et al, have quartz versions of their dive watches, so why not.

Even if they did (with a 10 year lithium battery like ive said before) it will still have that odd date placement as they dont want the hassle of designing a new dial so no i dont think they should

Voted no.

But a Tuning Fork or Sweep hand battery movement would tempt me.
