Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is watch: C6/C60 red dial(?)

Post by markrlondon »

Just watched the BBC2 antiques buyng and selling programme called 'Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is'. This was Series 5 Episode 30/30 with James Braxton and David Harper.

I noticed that David Harper was wearing a red dial non-chrono watch and I only got one goodish look at it. It looks very much like a C6 or C60 with a red dial. I'm not too familiar with CW watches so could that be what it is?

Can view programmes here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00dznh ... e#b019dw6w. I see that David Harper was in episodes 26-30 of Series 5.

There has not been a C6/C60 with a red dial. Only red dials have been chronographs AFAIK.

Ah, can't be that then.

I just watched Episode 30 on iPlayer and I can see that what I thought were the black markers on the bezel are in fact reflections on a shiny bezel. You can get a reasonably good look at the watch at 39:55 on Episode 30.

I watched the programme earlier, and I had already typed "David Harper's watch" into a google search - to no avail!

JAG, thanks for that screenshot. It's better than any of the shots I saw.

Clearly now I was wrong about it having a fixed, polished/shiny bezel! (In fact I was correct in the first place in as much as the black marks on the bezel are in fact markers of some sort, as I originally thought, and are not merely reflections).

Is that a 24 hour bezel? The case shape and bracelet are both very distinctive. Sadly I still don't recognise it, although it looks familiar. The case shape is a bit like a Stowa Seatime (but it's not one of those).

Do you mind if I link to your pic from TZ-UK? I began a thread on there too.

The raised indices around the bezel "could" be a Breitling?
CW C3 CWS, C13 GWT, 2012 FLE. Tag Heuer. Citizen. Tissot Tudor. Breitling Colt + SuperOcean. Orient SK. Deep Blue. Seiko X2. Steinhart Ocean 1. Timex X3. MuDu. Longines. Yema. Omega Speedmaster +Seamaster SMP. Roamer. Sully. Bulova. Ingersol.

No it's not. Looks like a normal diver's bezel, I think.

Indeed so!

For anyone who doesn't want to risk checking in on the dark side it's a Gucci Pantheon. Like this one:

So, not a 'proper' watch after all. :)
