Put your best case forward
I've now reached the stage where I need to invest in a watch storage case as I now have 9 watches. One or two are usually in my winder, so I think 10 to 15 compartments should be about right. One thing I am worried about is that some cases might not have big enough compartments for my bigger watches such as the C8.
This is an example of what I'm looking for: link here
Any advice with pictures, links etc would be very much appreciated. PM me if you have a nice one to sell me
Regards,

Re: Put your best case forward
This subject hasn't cropped up for a while, so worth doing.
Dulwich watch cases are quite popular on here. I've got a 12 watch, glass lid one similar to this one
I bought mine, albeit with a magnetic catch rather than a lock, a few years ago for around the same price from Amazon but there are other online retailers who are competitively priced.
Definitely suitable for larger watches, 44-46mm, by the way.

WOLF are very good quality without being hugely expensive, and will easily take bigger watches.
I have the stackable version as I started needing only 6 compartments...

Another vote for Dulwich. I've had mine for several years with no issues, and, as Guy says, there is plenty of space for big watches.

Re: Put your best case forward
Take a look at this thread from earlier in the year.
I went with a Wolf 15 box in the end, which is great for larger watches.

A vote for Dulwich Designs here.....
Although I managed to pick up and eight watch CWL case on eBay and it's a cut above the Dulwich stuff.
I therefore have a six watch Dulwich case sat doing nothing if anyone is interested - PM if you want pics

Re: Put your best case forward
I have two CW cases, the six and the twelve versions. Louise uses the six box for her watches.
As of tonight I am at twelve watches and I have two incoming so I'm also looking for a replacement.
The Roma box is awkward if you have straps on Baders or bracelets as four of the compartments are for watches that sit flat so not ideal for most of mine.

Re: Put your best case forward
Correction - I have the CWL Roma twelve but use the flat section in the lid to store spare straps which works well for me....

Yeah, the 'lid' section works really well for spare straps.....along with concealing new purchases from the MissusMiniMpi wrote:Good idea, never thought of using that section for straps.

Does anyone have the Axis case LINK HERE that CBMVic20 has? If so does it hold larger watches ok? It looks good for £70 and holds 20 watches - give me scope to get 11 more

Re: Put your best case forward
Not so much a case recommendation, but more of a thing to check when buying a case. I have a 7.25" wrist, so I need cushions that are 7.25" or less in circumference. It turns out that's not as common as you might think...
Most cases use cushions that are 7.75" to 8" circumference. If you have big wrists, that may be ok, but if you want your bracelets to close when they're on the cushion, make sure they're the same size as your wrist or smaller. Straps are less of a problem, unless you use deployant clasps on your straps.... as I frequently do.

Re: Put your best case forward
I bought my case from watchwinderstore.com. Horrible website (the link to the watch boxes is at the bottom of the page), but the watch boxes are nice, and international shipping is pretty cheap.

My wife bought me the black one with dark purple interior this past Christmas. Looks great in person and has a quality feel to it.

+1, I have the Wolf 6 compartment stackable version as well. Not exactly what you're looking for but holds large watches and wolf quality seems very good. Ordered it on Amazon for around $30 a few years back. The top row are the large watches.
