Problem with King Fisher Auto Crown

Post by Peteo »

So I've noticed recently, that when I set the time on my Kingfisher Auto, I have to be pretty delicate when I turn the crown. If I turn too hard or pull too hard, I can feel the crown slip a little and then when I turn it, the hands don't turn with it anymore. The crown doesn't come off or anything, but I can definitely feel that it's not secured the way that it's spposed to be when I turn it. When this happens, I need to screw the crown back in and redo the process.

So how worried about this should I be?

Send it back!
It's a simple fix (new crown) and you should have it back in a week.

Don't leave it as it will get worse and the crown will end up stripped, and where do the 'bits' go? Right into your lovely ETA movement
