Does the threshold refer to price paid rather than RRP/list price? If so then you may still get a watch with voucher/promotion/sale that takes it below the threshold.
Price paid, so I will certainly be making use of promo codes on future purchase. That, or clearance items only for me now.

No one likes paying more than they need to for anything but the above statement from CW sounds fair and reasonable to me. Prices can’t stay the same forever.

That terrible tv advert had to be paid for eventually I guess. Oh, and we can blame the euro!

Just more reason not pay full price and wait for the discount periods or sales - making the true value of the watch uncertain.

At least those currently on ebay can sell for a little more now to make someone a profit.

Happy days, we will cope :)

As they haven't increased the price for a good while, it's fair enough though, especially as these are still luxury purchases not essentials

However, never mind the watches, take a look at the increase in strap/bracelet prices
C1 - Bel Canto, Grand Malvern 5 Day
C5 - FLE
C60 - Concept
C65 - Cranwell, Super Compressor
C9 - 5 Day Small Seconds
Omega - Aqua Terra, SMP Nekton
Breitling - SuperOcean
Rolex - Air King

Don't get me wrong, it's their business and they have the right to do what they want, when they want... that said, how can they warrant a 40% hike on the worldtimer? I don't mind price increases, but be sensible with it!

Was there any notice that this was coming? If there was notice, it may have pushed people into purchasing prior to the increase...
I am not quite sure what to put here, my name is my handle :problem:

That’s not entirely accurate, some of the Limited Edition models have indeed had price increases, these have at least:

C65 Trident Diver SH21 Limited Edition (on bracelet)
C65 Anthropocene Limited Edition (on bracelet)

Others may have too, but I don’t recall.

Again though, it’s a price increase, it happens... they are still extremely good value compared to a load of other brands

I'm glad I ordered my C65 AM GT LE on bracelet, per Downer's Rules #10. I've saved myself a lot of money!

Both those model variants have gone up by £5, which is 0.46% for the Anthropocene and 0.26% for the SH21. So really it's more about rounding than a price increase.

Info about previous pricing can be found in the CW Archives (link at the top of the page).

Even with their latest new prices, I remain of the opinion that this brand can not currently be beaten when it comes to best overall quality and features within the price points of their most popular models, C60 diver especially.

Totally agree, and I think this extract from the linked recent review (below) says exactly that:
I’ve been blown away by the features that this watch offers for its list price of just £895. In a lot of ways, it’s redefined my expectations for what a sub-thousand-pound watch should feel like and include.

Forgive me if it's a little off-topic. I'm looking at ordering a C65 on backorder. Does anybody know if the currency exchange rate is calculated at the time the order is placed or when it ships and the card is charged?
