I’m thinking about buying two C63 Sealander GMTs, 39mm, the Hunter Green and Dragonfly Blue. Think I prefer Green with Camel leather and Dragonfly with Bader bracelet. Most seem to be on pre-order at the moment unless on the Consort bracelet.
What I’m a bit more intrigued by is quite how the pre-orders work though. Looking at the timeframes:
Hunter Green / Camel Oak Leather - 28 Feb 2025
Dragonfly Blue / Bader Bracelet - 19 Mar 2025
But if you switch over the strap/bracelet:
Hunter Green / Bader Bracelet - 28 Feb 2025
Dragonfly Blue / Camel Oak Leather - 20 Feb 2025
So flipping them over gets you delivery almost a month quicker. Maybe it takes a month to change them over and they’re not so ‘quick release’ after all!
But serious question, unless this is just a glitch of the website, is there a legitimate reason why this would be the case?

If the Dragonfly Blue / Camel Oak Leather date were to be 19 Mar 25, that would make sense.
As it is, I've no idea. One of the option dates seems wrong.

Literally had the same question as you from browsing the Sealander on the site. Considering buying the the strap separately to not have to wait until February

Re: Pre-orders C63 Sealander GMT 39mm
It will be because when adding the items to the eCommerce system they will have allocated bracelets and straps - it won't just be a generic pool of straps and watch bodies, so body A and strap B will be a combined unit with a combined expected delivery time... so there will be different stock levels / order times on the combinations you list

Sorry for resurrecting this thread but it's on the same theme so not worth starting a new one. The pictures of the Dragonfly and Hunter Green 39mm GMTs show quite different camel leather straps.
SKU of the strap appears to be the same so I assume this is just a difference in the renders?

^^^I think the Hunter Green is showing an older strap. The straps that I have bought in the last year or so all look like the one on the Dragonfly. I have one of the older ones too that looks like the one on the Hunter.

It's a guess but I think that you're looking at two generations of strap in those images: the first one has that dark patinated texture and smaller, tighter, straighter stiches than the second one which has a smoother, more formal or dressy texture. The website lists Orlando leather, Vintage Oak leather and Vacona leather.timepieces_and_bags wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 5:26 pm Sorry for resurrecting this thread but it's on the same theme so not worth starting a new one. I've just taken delivery of a vacona strap and, ignoring everything with a pre-Twin Flags logo it defnitely feels the more dressy item.
Of course this is only opinion.
