PS I didn't realise you could edit a post and amend Therefore i am happy for my second post on the C4 to be removed. Would be good if us "Newbie's" got some slack maybe educated through the process, surely you want to increase the amount of members to the forum not force them off because we haven't been part of the forum for years.
I agree anyone that gets into the (what seems) Holy Grail doesn't necessarily have the right or relationships to purchase or sell to other members but once again that comes down to each forum member at any given time
Thanks for your responses Sam
Don't be offended though Sam! Chin up and carry on

I think you make some very good points here, Sam. To be honest, it has always bothered me slightly that new members can be ticked off for making exactly the type of posts that many established members routinely make.
On the other hand, please be fair...if you read the "Member Introduction" section (and start a thread as I suggested) you will see that when people introduce themselves many of the "regular faces" as you call them are the first to welcome them. We were all new members at some time or another.

Is it possible - I'm a non techie so have no idea - to allow those with fewer than 30 posts to view the sales section but not use it? That might solve the speed post issue for those desperate to get to that target. They will see that it's not a place where vast volumes of watches change hands at lightning speed after all.
For the speed posters who wish to become gurus, as discussed before, just increase the numbers of posts required to move on.

I think this does make sense, but given that even in my short time here I've seem numerous posts on the issue, maybe just leaving it as is is the most sensible thing.
