Posting milestone - well for me anyway...

Post by nigelb001 »

What! I hear you say. What's so special about that, 500 posts in 2 years is a bleeding beginner!

Well, it is significant for me. I'm not a prolific poster by any means and have been a member of several forums for a number of years - Hi-Fi, cars, photography and electronics mostly. But most forums come and go, interest peaks and wanes and I have never got a post count above 2 or 3 hundred. Some forums can be hostile places -arguments, hostility, trolling, swearing, personal attacks - and that's just the good ones :D

This forum is different for me, it's the most friendly place I've been. OK occasionally things might get a bit heated and sometimes the occasional member gets upset and disappears with a bit of a flounce, but generally it's a cool place where most people get on in harmony.

So I'd just like to say thanks to Kip and the moderator crew for keeping this forum in order and the rest of you crowd for being well, just nice people

So I'm here to stay even though my CW watch count is dropping. Cheers!

Here is to your next 500!

Hanging around of course, just in case CW's next release makes you go "wow".

Great effort Nigel...it's what you say, not how many times you say it!

The important thing is that you enjoy the forum. Well done on the 0.5k.

If I were to have guessed, without reading that you’d made 500 posts, I’d have thought you were well into four figures. I guess that’s because when you post, you usually have something of substance to say. Well, apart from a recent “ooh, err missus” reply.

Keep up the good work, and hang around a bit longer.

Hi everyone! This post sees me double the 500 posts that I had made last December when I started this thread. So that's 2 years for the first 500 and 7 months for the second 500, an amazing record compared to other forums that I have frequented . I know this is nothing to some of you who do that in a fortnight but it seems like I'm settling in now for the long haul. This forum is like your favourite pair of slippers. Is that good or bad?

Cheers to all, raising a glass of Merlot in celebration.
