Maidenhead

That's where CW is located. Sounds nice and British and classy. :D

Well, they decided on a name over at CW. And you know what? It's a name suggested by one of our forum-members!!

Drumroll......

And the winner is..................... MYND!!!!!!!!!

Congrats MYND, CW made a wise choice!!!!

Here's CW's reaction:
"...in third place .... Ion/Ionic.... a sort of "does what it says on the can" approach

in second place...... Shadow....it had an "umbrella" quality about it that could span facross watch categories...but is also the name of a well known condom in the UK

so the winner is Corax..... well done MYND....love the explanation...there is a story of sorts in there...havent quite got our head around it..... but we will...

So MYND...heres the choice...

1. You can have the watch you see now....the first and only of its kind...
2 or wait until May and pick your own serial number (excluding number 0001....)
3. Do Both...have this on a loaner...let me know how it goes...what reaction you get around town...then swap it back in may for a number of your choice...that one can then be retired into the drawer marked "museum" :) ..."

Thanx guys,

I am really happy i must say! I really gave the name a lot of thinking before i searched for it. It wasn't something that just come up within me, i did some research first and step by step thinking brought me to this name.

I think this name suits the watch really well!

As for Chris, he knows who i am i also own a Malvern Automatic off course. I admire him and his work a lot.

I think i will wait until may and let CW store this one in the museum, where it belongs! I think that is the best thing to do!

Thanx everyone, my day could not be better!

regards,

Congrats MYND. That was indeed a good name. I'm also both excited and dissapointed about getting second place with "Shadow". Obviously, it's too bad I don't get a watch, but I'm glad it was at least in the running. And a condom company, that's a good excuse not to win!

If you need some prototype testers, especially to get some American reactions, I'm sure the 2nd and 3rd place winners will happily accept constilation prize watches. :D l.

Just kidding... or am I?
