I agree, the quartz is hampered by the old styling.

However, I would like the quartz movement to be a decent one with thermocompensation and seconds hand that hits the markers.

Or sweeps... Yep, I'd love to see a quartz movement worthy of the nicer case.

Compare the Steinhart Ocean 1 to the C60 600. The CW's bezel is wider and makes the watch look so classy and finished.

They are great watches, a Quartz makes a superb grab and go.

Swimming against the tide, I prefer the current quartz version and have my heart and wallet set on an orange bezel with rubber strap. I much prefer the indices, second hand and metal bezel of the older version. So there!!

Welcome.
Unfortunately, I can't access the sales forum until I have 30 posts...
Think you might be misunderstanding the sales corner of the forum. It isn't where CW hold their sales, it is an "ads board" for members of the forum to sell their watches.
You've just missed a 50% of sale (on CW website) for a number of watches, many of which were MK II Trident autos.

......but which were mainly hideous bezel/dial/strap combos that nobody wanted at full price.... :D

Perhaps a bit of a generalisation that owners of those watches might take offence to.

They are about as regular as my wife moaning about something I've done wrong or haven't done at all.
Today I'm wearing one of the ugly bezel/face colour combo's that no one liked. :D

IMO it looks even better when it's half price

^ Still amazed this was de-listed. It's a contender for the best trident combo for me. Great at RRP, but a total steal at 50% off.

Did I? Or did you read want you wanted? At no point did I state people would take offence for someone disliking their watch.
