Platinum Jubilee

Post by Chris375 »

Congratulations to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on marking 70 years on the Throne. Whether you are a Royalist or not she is (by all accounts) a wonderful lady and this is an amazing historical milestone!

Fortunately, after many applications, rejections, withdrawals and alterations I managed to get a project to commemorate this occasion finally over the line.

Many thanks to CW and especially to Beckie Murray in their Bespoke department for their patience and flexibility over the years. The journey to get this project over the line is a story in itself.

What an achievement! And the perfect day to reveal the watch. I always like a bespoke watch and hearing about the process.

Congratulations all round. To HM for an incredible life of devoted service, and to you for seeing this project through.

Outstanding Chris.

A wonderful piece, and fitting tribute, that will no doubt be worn with pride by those who are fortunate enough to be able to get one.

Absolutely top notch. I salute you and Her Majesty.

Well!
Surprised at my own reaction. When I saw the face I thought: "No, no no. Just a bit tacky."
But when I saw the back, I thought: "Yes, yes, yes. Bloody good idea!"

I could never presume to wear it, and hope that those that the watch has been commissioned for queue up to get them.

Well done.

Me too. In my case she took up her employment (vocation?) before I was born. I've grown up (a bit), gone through school, had a working career and thought myself deserving of slightly early retirement and yet Her Majesty is still hard at work.

Thank you for all your kind comments. Unfortunately I am unable to relate the “story” but all I can say is to repeat how helpful Beckie and CWL have been with some testing issues along the way (even after production had begun).

I am only a minor role where I work hence affording me the chance to manage this project!

All respect to the Queen, remarkable 70 years on the throne.

The watch looks like an excellent commemorative piece for those who have protected her over the years.

I hope that means you also got a watch! It would be a shame to oversee a project like this and not get one for yourself.

And congratulations to HM on an amazing accomplishment. Her dedication and selflessness in fulfilling her duty are quite remarkable and to be applauded.
