Pilot watches
Re: Pilot watches
Heh mine pictured is the same one but in red and with a spare deployant clasp I had in the drawer. Looks sharp!
Re: Pilot watches
I bought this watch about 3 months ago, and have patiently waited to get my hands on it. I’ll put together a review at some point but don’t want to rush into it as the instant love isn’t there, maybe it’s a grower

Re: Pilot watches
This is a great thread that has now been running for over a year, which I've just been reviewing as I'm looking for inspiration for an Aviator / Flieger watch to go with a couple of 20mm straps I've bought this week.
OK; I've got my C9 2011 FLE and Tribus TRI-05 303 Squadron both of which are fairly svelt (slimline) but I'm thinking of something chunkier.
Any ideas?
Guy

I’ve not owned any but I’m feeling drawn to the aviation line from Zero West: https://zerowest.watch/watches/Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 9:48 pm This is a great thread that has now been running for over a year, which I've just been reviewing as I'm looking for inspiration for an Aviator / Flieger watch to go with a couple of 20mm straps I've bought this week.

Re: Pilot watches
I aim to own one again soon. Mine was stolen from a hotel room in Goa 12 years ago. I was there for four days, flying a 767. The airline’s insurance was capped at £1500 so I was gutted. I loved that watch and had only just replaced the leather strap at some cost. What I will say is that it’s the only Breitling I would ever own…and it kept terrible time. Looked great though…

Here we go, Steve.
Fresh in today, from the Bay of e, a 'new' Laco Augsburg classic Flieger type A. Blue galvanic dial, 42mm case with 20mm lug width.
The NATO strap is original but I'm sure I'll get it swapped out at some point.

Re: Pilot watches
Tourby have a sale on at minute and make some great pilot watches. Zeno watch Basel have a good range as well diameters going from 38mm to 47mm in both manual or automatic so there is a fair amount of choice.
