Hi all. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with returning a watch for a partial refund - i.e. Within 60 days, but not in perfect condition. I have a C60 I'm thinking of returning but I've worn it for the past few weeks and it has some scratches on the bracelet. The head has no visible marks though.
Best wishes

That's not what the 60 day return policy is for. I'd be surprised if they take it back, but if they do I'd expect you'll take a real hit on it

Re: Partial refund for slightly scratched watch
While CW will likely take it back under 60/60, they alone decide what wear and tear will cost you which you can either accept (refund) or decline (watch is returned to you). I don’t know their determinations, but you could possibly lose half the value. You may call it “slightly scratched;” do they concur? It may make more monetary sense for you to sell it on the secondary market. And you may get lucky with CW and they take it back for the more typical 30%. Good luck!

What you are describing is nothing to do with 60/60 as your wearing of the watch has put you outside of that agreement.Jeggs wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 6:43 pm Hi all. They will be within their rights to reject the return/refund request as it is outwith their terms and conditions.

Re: Partial refund for slightly scratched watch
From the website ...
You have up to 60 days from despatch to return your watch, with free shipping, and receive a full refund, for which the watch must be in perfect, unworn condition and accompanied by all its original packaging and paperwork.
In the event this is not the case we will only offer a partial refund, the amount of which will be decided by the condition of the watch and whether there is any missing documentation.

For me the test would be if you'd been handed the watch not brand spankers as you received it but in fact used: how much of a reduction would you expect from the seller?thomcat00 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 7:10 pm While CW will likely take it back under 60/60, they alone decide what wear and tear will cost you which you can either accept (refund) or decline (watch is returned to you). I'd sell it on eBay or something. Not covered on the 60/60 and I would rightly expect them to decline.

Perhaps you could email them some pictures of the condition and ask if they could provide a rough none binding estimate on the return value, looks like they would accept it

Re: Partial refund for slightly scratched watch
^^^ There’s no harm in trying that, but I don’t see CW providing any numbers without the watch in their hands. Shipping back to CW for the potential return is free, and if you don’t like their offer, you can take the watch back and sell second hand.

I hope for OP, if the case is in unworn condition CW will only ding you for the bracelet.
