Overwhelmed with bountiful choices

Post by thomcat00 »

This year has been laden with new watch choices from CW and the year is far from over. Anyone else feeling just a bit overrun by all the brand is bringing to market? We have Aquitaines, mini Sealanders, colorful mini Sealanders, Trident 300s and it’s only August. It took me a year from release to settle on a white Sealander auto. I’ve picked out the Orca Black Aquitaine for later in the year. And more is hinted at or expected in the CW timeline. I need to catch my breath just looking at them all.

I agree - and if I was being patient I’d be waiting to check out the new field watch later in the year before making any decisions!

It has been an amazing year for CW, for sure! I’ve been so impressed, with the 300 Pro specifically, and the other releases across the board, that I feel compelled to email Mike France about it. It’s been dinger after dinger (forgive the baseball reference).

And there’s still more to come!

The staff at Christopher Ward have been busy by providing us with plenty of tempting new watches. And, your list didn't even include the limited edition Revival & Atoll offerings. Then, there were the January & July sales to tempt our resolve even more.....

Yes, more is to come. Mike France hinted during an interview last week that the special edition coming in October would be CW's finest hour (he said there is your hint). I think they are coming out with a new jumping hour. I picked up the C60 black elite in the sale this year and really fighting picking up the new 300. I wish CW would give us a timeline of releases. I think they owe us (LOL, I am kidding of course, but seriously).

I agree with the OP, CW has had one hell of a year to date. Some really lovely timepieces coming to market. It must be really tough for those that find it hard to stave off the buying impulse. A lot of other manufacturers must be looking at what CW is doing at the present, particularly at their price points. I think all at CW are to be applauded.

It has definitely been a good year, with CW having launched 20 models so far, and a way to go yet.

However, I doubt they'll get to the record of 40 models in a year, achieved in 2015 as can be seen in Timeline on the CWArchive .

Agreed, those naughty people at CW are putting way too much temptation in front of us weak willed watch wearers :?

This year has been CW quality (of launches) over quantity. CW has really hit their stride in 2022!
