Order History - limited

Post by Adstheman »

Despite the 'My Account' section of the CW website allowing you to select the timescale of your order history (ie.6 months, 12 months, or 2025), this is still limited to (at my count) the last 30 orders.

Is this everyone else's experience? Has anyone ever raised this with Customer Services (I have but I'm still waiting to hear back ](*,) )?
TIA.

Hmm, that’s a sign you’re ordering too much. :D

I have my paperwork from my orders but I’ve also not ordered that quantity from CW - yet. ;)

I’ll let you know when I’ve ordered 30 watches. Might take a while, I’ve only been here 14 years.

Yes. Looking at my order history, it shows the last 30 orders, going back to 2022.

I haven't, as I don't see it as a problem. I have all the order emails going back forever (well, to 2014), plus the paperwork, so it's not really an issue for me.

They have to draw the line somewhere, I guess. No company would ever have enough server space to store @Kip's order history, for example.

^^^^ Likewise to @welshlad I've got my last 30 orders going back through 2025 - 5, 2024 - 22 and 2023 - 3 but only into November, nothing for October to January; total 30. Nothing for 2022 through 2012, when I bought my first CW.

Similarly, not an issue (I'd only thought about it as a result of this topic) and I've got emails & paperwork going back . . . .

I suspect they have more than 30 orders, but they just show the last thirty.

Otherwise, if you bought another item, then they would have to purge the thirty first item, and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't do it that way.

A full history of half a million watch sales is trivial really.

My order history is complete back to 2015, though the details of the older orders in terms of what was ordered are lost on their systems. I think this happened when they switched to the new hosting system which drastically improved website usability.

Not all of my orders for purchases and/or service department work appear in my account. I've asked about it in the past and, as it doesn't worry them, it doesn't worry me.

I decided to check...

Noted that:
  • My first purchase from 2009 wasn't listed but everything from my second in 2010 was. So 20 orders listed (mostly watches, the odd strap).
  • A number of older models have no picture and are only listed as 'Discontinued Model' and don't have any details on the model or price.
  • A number of older models have no picture but despite being discontinued list the watch details and the price.
  • From 2023 onwards the full info is there, including on discontinued models (that are not listed as such).
A mildly distracting exercise but otherwise I'm ambivalent about the info (or lack of) available :D
