One of these has just arrived..

Post by tikkathree »

Can you guess which?

Two of the others have been subjected to a new Uncle Seiko bracelet fitting and the fourth is today's watch.

Thank you Guy!

Given the small bag with the bracelet link, I assume the omega is a new arrival. :D

Do you refer, sirrah, to the recent EBay sale sans lume pip, or to my private transaction with a gentleman of this parish?

Think again oh great JAFO.

The oe Flightmaster bracelet is away with Mr Freese for a minor fettle and in the meantime the watch has been sitting on the grey Sandra Visser rally strap.
I picked up the razor wire bracelet in Uncle Seiko's black friday sale; it's a 20mm bracelet so it's a matter of mating it with something suitable. https://unclestraps.com/collections/20m ... et-20-22mm
The Flighty is too heavy for it so that's a no. The Seamaster has an oe bracelet but normally lives on a matching dark blue leather zulu from yellowdog. The two will stay together for a few days before I offer it up to another watch: in truth I have only a few 20mm lug watches.

In shortening the razor wire I have discovered that each link (split pins) holds eight oval rings which have to be nudged into alignment and held there by the split pin: I have given up all thoughts of a second career as a maker of chain mail.

The Anthropocene is today's watch of choice and so the C60 Scooter is today's new arrival.

If you venture into Khazad-Dûm, beware Durin’s Bane.

Having bid on the "no lume pip" variant I thought I could probably do better so launched a WTB and was answered almost before the ink had dried.
