Old Skool

Post by missF »

Delighted to have come across this!
An old Skool CW women’s N22 Alex Sport.
I’ve always loved this design, and actually emailed CWard years ago to ask if he still had Wera’s sofa to take a look behind for me. No luck then.

Here’s mine now!

This watch somehow makes me feel totally old skool and nostalgic- it was in my mind a different era in the growth of CW, but it’s also the style of watch I’d have loved in my early years of looking for cool watches. The bracelet is unique and I love the offset chrono dials that make the whole thing look like a face. And it has a big date! Splendid...

The whole thing just makes me smile. :D

Hi Lindsey, agree its very cool retro old school.
The bracelet takes me back as it resembles a studded (type) belt and wrist cuff I used to occasionally wear in the 80s, complete with spikey hair, biker boots and dodgy leather jeans. 😁

Great pick up and wear in hood health.

That's pretty cool , Lindsey. old skool CW it may be, but i don't think it would ever go out of fashion.

Great pick up Lindsey - congratulations
...that is really cool 8) old school CW

CW made some great Ladies watches, just a pity they don't make them anymore :(
...albeit that would cost me as I could see my OH having a few

I was just a bit young in the eighties to be a punk but I loved the look ( this isn’t me btw!!)

I agree on several points made above - CW produced a broad ranged and very stylish range of women’s watches back in the day. This one has great design features and is a unique women’s design, which I love. CW have always - in my mind - been very adventurous in their designs.

Cool find! I’ve perused the Archive but seeing the details in your pics with the dial details and the theme carried to the bracelet, very interesting. Enjoy it! Some of the older CW designs, however old skool, appeal greatly.

Nice. For my money one of the best of the so-called ladies’ watches, along with the Belisama Tank.

Nice! That bracelet reminds of the studded ones from the 80s that you saw everywhere!

I remember the bracelets and leather cord. Don’t want to remember the hairspray and ankle warmers!

It ain’t what you do, it’s the way that you do it. That’s what gets results.....

Very fun watch! I've never seen one of these. I'm usually not a fan of bracelets from that era, but this one is cool.

Well done Lindsey.

Now you need to find the N22 Iconic Bracelet to coordinate with your watch. It came in gold (below) and silver.
