Oh wow! 12 X Steel
This little beauty arrived today. Absolutely sublime. It wears really well - I was worried that, being steel, it would be an obvious weight on the wrist (it isn’t remotely)
And that lume! Crikey. I’m like a dog with two tails.

I'm hoping you can post some more impressions. Been a reader for years, and wondering if the X lives up to the price in person. I'm torn between the TI and Steel.

Re: Oh wow! 12 X Steel
I already owned a steel XII so knew the size / weight was perfect for me and the SH21 doesn’t noticeably change that.
I did wonder whether it would be different enough to the Concept to sit alongside it in my collection. It is. Absolutely. And it will. For anybody waiting on delivery I very much doubt you’ll be disappointed.

Was that purely by chance ?KMW wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 9:54 am IMG_0069.jpeg
Mine arrived this morning (#011, the same serial number as my C60 Concept) and I’m blown away by how good it looks. The way the polished movement catches the light and the shimmer from the blue hands is quite mesmerising.

Re: Oh wow! 12 X Steel
No, I requested #011 when I ordered straight after Mike’s presentation. They said they couldn’t promise but would see what they could do and nothing was confirmed until I opened the box this morning! Very pleased to have a matching pair though.

I agree it’s stunning and your pics assuage any worries I had of deciding to cancel my Ti order for the s/s version.KMW wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 9:54 am IMG_0069.jpeg

Would you mind reposting the pic of it and the C60 concept as a single shot so that I can take a good look at the detail comparison?
Re: Oh wow! 12 X Steel
I own one and have handled the other. Had the opportunity to compare both in detail at the same time…
If given the choice of both at the outset…
I would have taken less than a minute to decide which one to buy.

I think they are completely different.

Interesting. I take it you are happy with your Ti version.nbg wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 10:13 pm I own one and have handled the other. Had the opportunity to compare both in detail at the same time…

Re: Oh wow! 12 X Steel
The movement finishing actually looks surprisingly similar in that photo. Some elements look "brushed" in the Twelve X but they both seem to have beveled edges on the bridges. I'm wondering if the differences are more obvious in person.

We are all different as far as our choice of watches goes. I much prefer the weight of the titanium version and the black bridges.

Re: Oh wow! 12 X Steel
If you look closely and research back on details released at launch, you’ll see that the SH21 in the Twelve X, both steel and Titanium versions, has a greater / stronger bevelled edge on the bridges compared to the SH21 in the concept.quasitime wrote:

The finishing is exemplary on both.
