I wore my 1675 as my only watch for nearly 25 years. It was no big deal. I wasn't trying to impress anyone. I used the GMT function quite often and it was in some circumstances necessity. I can't ever remember anyone ever noticing my watch. Back when I bought mine if you wanted to project status you got something from Movado or something in yellow gold like a day-date. Everything else was just a watch regardless of what logo was on the dial.
