I had worn it the 2 previous days. Kept on winder before that. Not sure if it was fully wound.

I just gave it 80-90 winds, till I started hearing the click indicating it’s fully wound. Will give it another go.
Thread resurrection !!

When I got my C65 Aquitaine GMT the other day, I wound it 40 winds and set the time and left it in the watch in the watch box to test the power reserve. I did this on Thursday and I checked it Saturday morning and it had stopped which was at only 41 hours.
If I fully wind a watch I generally give it 40 winds but I kept winding it till I heard the clutch slip and that was at 80 winds.
So this makes a lot of sense as there is a bigger mainspring giving a bigger power reserve so obviously needs more winding.
I figure it should get to the 56 hours or close enough when I try it again on Tuesday morning
Curious to see if that will solve the issue, Ferg. When I started this thread, I did indeed wind my C63 GMT until I heard the noise of the clutch slipping, but would still only get about 40 or 41 hours. I can’t be sure, but I also believe I only needed about 40 winds before hearing the clicking noise. Since I received it back from CW service with a new movement, it has consistently been running for 55 to 56+ hours. I still suspect some early batches of the SW330-2 mistakenly had the older mainspring given the number of people on this thread who failed to achieve the stated power reserve with their own watches, but that is pure conjecture on my part.

@Bident I actually fairly confident it will be fine. Being an Aquitaine it isn't an early movement also.
I'll post up my findings during the week ;)

@MiniMpi - Rather than doing all this hand winding Ferg, why not wear the watch for 2 or 3 days (sure no hardship, a pleasure even) which should be enough to get a full charge of PR; plus it will wind the watch nice and gently (I never like hand winding an Automatic beyond a few turns)?

@Bahnstormer_vRS Good point Guy ;)
I've worn it since Saturday so I'll pop it in the watch box this evening before bed and note the time etc

I still don’t have a clue after 18 months how long my Sealander GMT runs for. I have never remembered to make a note of the time when I take it off. However, it’s not really that relevant to me given the typical way in which I wear my watches.

@Amor Vincit Omnia I'm not particularly bothered either Steve as I would generally only wear a watch one day and not wear the same one for a couple of weeks.
It's purely just a point of interest than anything else.

@MiniMpi I have been wearing mine for a week now, Ferg, so it’s about due for a swap. I’ll try to remember to make a note tonight. If I take it off at 10 o’clock it should in theory keel over by about 6 o’clock on Thursday morning.

I took my Sealander GMT off when I got home about 5pm on Friday. It stopped at about 2am this morning which is about 57 hours. It has just been serviced though so I’d expect it to be right.

Mine went to bed at 10 o’clock last night – I gave it a few extra winds to make sure it was fully charged. We shall see.

I put my Aquitaine GMT 'to bed' at 04:35 this morning, gave it a few winds and heard the clutch so I'll check it Thursday evening when I'm back at the house as I'm minding my Dad for a couple of days.

My watch duly stopped at 0332 today. So let’s call it 53.5 hours. That’s good enough. I’m not going to get all OCD about a couple of hours – after all, I’ve had the watch for 18 months and never even bothered to check the PR before.

Given the fact that I almost never rotate, but wear the same watch for anything from three days to three weeks followed by weeks in the box, it’s not that relevant to me.

Thanks @Amor Vincit Omnia Steve ;)
I'm the same in that it's purely a bit of interest and a once off thing that's all.
I'll check my Aquitaine later this evening when I'm back home and update with my findings.

Just checked it there :
The GMT is great for working out AM/PM !
It stopped at 12:46:41 this afternoon, 2nd March, so it lasted exactly 56 hours and 11 minutes and 41 seconds ! 8)
Well happy with that and spot on for the quoted PR.

^^ Send it back. It is running to efficiently and seems to be giving you more than you deserve. It should only be giving you 56 hours.
