Who said they are impossible to remove?.
I was always under the impression that CW said so themselves. I've heard others say that if you wanted to replace the bezel, you would have to replace the entire case as it's extremely difficult or impossible to remove. Example: http://christopherwardforum.com/viewtop ... 4&p=237134

Good to know that isn't the case.
I've not taken many watches apart, but it's the same system as a lot of watches, such as the Seiko SK007. The bezel insert is even removable too, on my C60 it's just stuck into the bezel with double sided tape.

I can see why CW would want to tell you it isn't possible, but any ideas of swapping them around are finished as CW won't supply them separately anyway.

Having said that, I'm going to measure mine and see what else is out there on the market, there's bound to be something that fits!

I'm sure they'll sort out the number on the documentation ASAP - just drop them an email. I think I'd make the odd mistake if I had to hand write 2k sets of papers...

Thanks guys. It's actually an Omega style mesh from Helson. It came with a Helson Tortuga I have that's currently on a strap.

Email already sent to CWL customer services, I'll see how they do!

oooh - like the idea - easier than swapping the inserts - now back to my idea of the jag with a black bezel and normal C60 with a silver bezel - I might just have to try it if it is that easy...

Nice buy Tooks, looks great on the mesh, shame about the paperwork and bubble wrap although I have never had bubble wrap on any of the CW,s i have bought. Personnally i am not too bothered about the box catching a small dent, but bubble wrap inside the box to stop the watch coming loose would be good.

Interesting that CW have said in the past that its not possible to change the bezel and can only change the complete case. I am now wondering whether another brands bezel insert might fit the C60,s or if CW might sell bezel inserts at some point in the future.
Especially as a pepsi bezel would probably sell like hot cakes.

As Ian has said, a video or step by step pictures would be excellent.

found a video for a rolex submariner - it appears you need a tooled-leather writing desk and a bone-handled knife - great, have both of those, so... :)

might try it in photoshop first!

What do you mean by that Kip?

I know changing a bezel colour isn't all that exciting compared to, say, liquid filling a C6 case, but it's still just folks modifying their own property?

Also, I think it's positive to explode the myth around C60 bezels being somehow intrinsic to the case, and letting fellow owners know that there is an alternative to being without their watches for a few weeks whilst it is returned to CWL for a 'case change'... We're here to help each other aren't we?

I am only thinking of the possible requests for parts at CWL. This is obviously not how they are set up. :problem:

I have no issues with the knowledge imparted here and thank you for sharing. :)

I've laboured under the impression/ myth that the bezel and case are one. I can't help but think thatCW have stated as much. This is a good opportunity for the brave/ skilled souls who want to customise but i don't see CW playing along and supplying spare bezels any time soon. It does also provide hope for anyone who damages their bezel.
