New Watch Alert: C60 Trident Chrono Pro 600

Post by RichM »

I like quiet understated watches which is why when this popped up in the sales corner I had to act! I'd posted recently about how this particular watch was occupying more than its fair share of time in my thoughts but didn't really expect to get hold of one. Fate intervenes - thanks @carlt69

I'm trying it out with the different straps and have here a caramel Toshi strap on it at the moment.

It is not understated. It is a big and heavy boy. It is functional, good looking with excellent clarity. if you like it (I love mine) then just enjoy!

On bracelet, sized fo my wrist, that's 228 grammes or 8 English ounces which is more or less twice the weight of a C60 Trident Elite GMT.

I remember getting squash rackets made as "head heavy" as opposed to "head light": this watch is one "head heavy" sun of a gun! Wear it, enjoy it but mind where you swing it!

That looks good on the brown leather. I always planned to try mine on one (when I had it), but never did. Now that I have a black prototype, I mostly wear it on a black hybrid strap. Yours would look good on a blue one.

It came on a blue and orange hybrid and it does indeed look good on that. It's got the quick release pins too!

I prefer my Beast on the bracelet. I actually bought it in the sale on a hybrid.

I had a blue/blue C60 600 on bracelet so swapped them over. Sold this one on eBay and made a nice killing on price.

Then whilst on holiday in Italy last year I acquired the BumbleBeast from Guy.

Very, very happy with both and are on my “Not For Sale” list.

To replace my C60 600, I bought the same watch blue/blue but the GMT version.

I love wearing this and I'm thinking I need the option of having it on a bracelet too. I can't see an appropriate one listed on the website and I assume it's obsolete stock? Is there anyone who might be interested in selling just the bracelet at all? TIA, Rich.

I like these, think it's the slabiness thing again. So many lovely details too. The guilloché dial, the onion and sword hands, the gold sub dials, even the cutaway in the raised hour track to contain the word Christopher. Looks great on the leather; very good photos, too.

Ditto, I also think the details on the dial are fantastic.

Have you considered an orange rubber strap? Since the Chrono is already a bold design, an orange strap would complete the bold statement.

Your brown leather strap looks great too. It seems to be a subtle, relaxed option.

There so many options that would complement the Chrono - I hope you enjoy experimenting as your mood changes.

Congratulations on your awesome acquisition.

^^^^ I think orange, as a strap colour, will clash and grate as the sub dial rings and chrono seconds hand are gold.

Now, if one could find a dark / burnt yellow strap that might work.
