Over at Watchuseek is another thread comparing the Trident to other $1000 priced divers and a few say they think the C60 PRO is better made than the Aquis and Hydroconquest. That's amazing with it being quite a bit cheaper than the competition. I love the choice of something lighter to wear and chronos are always fascinating so can't wait for pictures.
I wouldn't think it'll be any lighter to wear, it's going to have a 7750 in it, so it will be a huge watch, I would think around 14.5 mm high, and if it's steel it will be heavy.
As per Chris, the chrono will be around 18mm high, which is taller than welshlad's wife.

I meant the titanium version. But I do hope the chrono is as light as possible but unlikely. Regardless, I like choices so the new versions are welcome. Also this line will be getting grey themes again which is great and missing since the charcoal bezel was discontinued.
Sorry about my confusion!

I've always said that any watch taller than my wife is just too tall! Seems a reasonable rule of thumb. :D

There isn't much difference in price between the C60 and the Hydroconquest any more - £30 if you buy via iconic.
And it's not better made either. The trident is a great watch, but the Hydro is a tad bit better

I wonder how many men wear huge watches to overcompensate for something else. Like having an expensive sportscar after a mid-age divorce or dressing like a 20 year old when getting older.

I've recently put on some weight. Perhaps then I should purchase the C60 Chrono. Maybe it will make me look slimmer?

I'll bet it doesn't come in at more than 17.1mm.

Well, one person who tried both thought the Trident was better in a few areas but I don't know. Same as the Aquis I've read some say each was a better watch. I guess it comes to preference. I still think the C60 is the best looking of the bunch. I wish the HC would reduce those giant numerals and get a ceramic bezel. Their second version with the ETA 2892 was bland compared to the first one and a misdirection.

I frankly don't think the Hydroconquest is better than the Trident (except the brand name). The Oris Aquis however feels like a more solid watch due to the very nice case and bracelet. Trident still has a better dial but a notch below Aquis. The ratcheting clasp should help.

I agree the Aquis tops the three. The Hydro second and the trident a very close third. The hydro bracelet it not as good as the CW. I have owned all three watches for some time so speak with some degree of experience. Saying that, I own a mk1 trident so cannot comment whether the mk2 ups the overall build quality or not. Maybe soon I will own a mk2 so could prove myself wrong ;)

The MK2 is a step up in quality everyone keep saying, not just on here but various places. It can compete with these other divers now. I must see one in person, it's killing me! Waiting until November sale. :?

Thanks. If I get an Aquis it'd be from a grey market dealer because the discount off retail are insane. I'm gonna take a closer look at one of my 3 ADs and if I order a Trident, I can make a direct comparison in person. If I prefer the Oris I guess I'll use the 60/60 for the first time.

I've owned a couple of hydro's and IMO they don't come close on build quality or looks compared to the Trident Pro. They seem flimsy and thrown together to me. That weird case design is just sooo bad too!!!

Hydro seems a real budget Longines and I didn't keep mine long. (Kept my white dial Trident Pro though!!!)

I will up the anty and say that the Pro is on a par with Omega now in terms of build quality. Hold a PO and a Pro together and see what you think.

I'm anything but a watch snob and have owned (or still own) watches from £50 to £5000.

There was a thread on here previously comparing the HC to the Trident, funny enough just been talking about this elsewhere with a new Trident devotee (blinded by his love, IMHO). But comparing the new Pro 600 to a PO, is pushing things somewhat, irrespective of build quality - and I own both, but then again, I don't have a bracelet on my C600.
