Re: NEW: Tradetime
Unless I’ve lost the ability to read properly, there is one on eBay with two bids, currently at £1,950.
Trying not to buy any more watches...

I am convinced there has been some cosmological EVENT that is draining commonsense from buyers of CW watches.

Re: NEW: Tradetime
Just had a quick look, there are FIVE (!) on eBay - and £1950 is the second cheapest!Unless I’ve lost the ability to read properly, there is one on eBay with two bids, currently at £1,950.
Must be people who couldn't get a Moonswatch.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

This watch was aimed at people who trade in stock markets for a living, rather than watch enthusiasts. They are the very definition of having more money than sense.

I don't know about that, but they are certainly used to buying things then selling at a profit. This watch was aimed at people who trade in stock markets for a living, rather than watch enthusiasts. They are the very definition of having more money than sense

Aha! So maybe the previous POTUS (the one with golf courses) wasn't wrong when he was suggesting that 'ronovirus and the vaccine was just a way of implanting nanobots in us all?Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 12:10 pm I am convinced there has been some cosmological EVENT that is draining commonsense from buyers of CW watches.

Re: NEW: Tradetime
May be so, there's a CW C9 GT40 for sale on Hackett's web site amongst various Rolex, Omega, IWC etc etc
Re: NEW: Tradetime
The Trade Time is a neat take on a GMT, and even ignoring the GMT feature is attractive looking. The inner wheel doesn't stand out like the outer bezel of a worldtimer, for instance.
I think the BC has demonstrated that CW has a good value proposition, especially the continued praise from Watchfinder. It's not just one article, it's all of them. If the BC is a good deal relative to the competition, then a Trade Time is much the same as an inexpensive piece of whimsy for well heeled traders. By the same token, other items in the CW current and back catalogue may be equally recognised as the great value buys they are and have been.

Re: NEW: Tradetime
I thought it was a joke at first. Why are the words Crypto on the dial? And why havent CW used this movement for a WorldTimer at a decent price!!??

From what I can see those that look at tradetime are more likely amateurs, with a laptop in their rather small bedroom. That or the delusional thinking that crypto has real value.
The eBay profit probably wouldn’t be worth the effort for someone who was a professional.

Crypto is all around the ring as that market is always open. I think the price is close to the Sealander GMT, ignoring the 40% discount of course.

Re: NEW: Tradetime
I offered $650 usd for one and got an automatic rejection, with an eBay “suggestion” of 10x my offer. I’m not even considering 2x my offer. Perhaps I should have punted with an offer denominated in DogeCoin?
