I wonder if this is an early release for the "August Announcement" Mike France has been sharing for months.

Fair enough. And, it appears everyone already assumes the August announcement is going to be a Trident Pro 300 Titanium.

Isn't the Super Compressor in the C65 Dune and Aquitaine family? I remember seeing somewhere there should be an update coming to the Aquitaine line sometime this summer. Looking forward to seeing what CW have in store for it.

My guess is going to be a bronze variant of the super compressor. Bronze seems to be the material of choice lately in the industry. I do really like the deep ocean color, there's a couple on Wardhoard that I've got my eye on, but after buying a watch in the sale, I'm tapped out for a bit.

The C65 Super Compressor is part of the C65 Trident Diver range and is a very different watch to the Dune and Aquitaine models.

A Super compressor with a decorated metal back? That wouldn't be my choice but I suppose sometime soon we'll be much wiser.

This dial and the old WWII sector dial just pass me by.

It looks like the old super compressor and the dive timer had a child.

The seem to have taken the best parts of the old super compressor, the dial and hour markers, and replaced them.

It’s up now on the CW website if you want more disappointment.

The SC didn’t ever appeal to me, but I’m sure that this will appeal to many.

I’m not the target market for this watch so my opinions don’t count for much. I have however owned two SCs, the ocean blue and the brown and was interested to read about a new SC coming out and was expecting more substantial changes.

This does look like just a new dial and caseback and my favourite feature of the original SC was the angled hour makers that played with the light and really made the dial. These look to have gone in order to accommodate the dial with the timings. I know the dive timer sold out quickly but I recall it being a great price and limited numbers, it will be interesting to see how this sells now it’s available in greater numbers.

I’ve just noticed the tiny little MF either side of the 12 o’clock marker. Does anyone know what this is for? I assume it’s minutes and feet? Not that Christopher Ward have rebranded to Mike France on the quiet……

Yup, I like it. Not sure that I’ll jump immediately, though I think it’s very cool and looks great.

Not for me either, but then neither was the original.
