The 3 watches I mentioned are automatics. The Certina and Tissot are about 10.8, the Eterna is slimmer, about 10.4 with a domed crystal. All 3 have display case backs.

She also has some quartz fashion watches, Radley types, which are certainly a couple of mm thinner.

It's not the thickness though, it's the overall watch size, wider lug width, and possibly a too long strap. I'll think about it.
Ah I see. You can always get a shorter aftermarket strap, but you’re right about the lug width. I’ve noticed it a few times and think 18mm would be better.

I initially read this as “old lady” watches! The long forgotten line of CWs marketed to old ladies! They had one that chimed on the hour to remind them to turn the thermostat up. It was called the Bel I-Canto-Get-Get-Warm
Well this makes me think about the potential activities to an hourly cycle: put the kettle on, let the cat out, take medication, open a beer, check the forum for new posts, have a grape? Hmm, that's hardly a long list is it? :? :?

My wife has quite small wrists.
Commenting about the size only, not this specific model, because I haven’t seen one for real yet.

My wife has tiny wrists, and had only worn 30mm or 32mm watches until last year, but my uncontrolled buying has convinced her it was turn. Initially looking for another of similar size, I suggested she look at a few larger models. I’ve noticed more ladies wearing larger unisex watches in the last few years.

After an initial dismissal, she tried on a 37mm piece, loved it, and we walked out of the shop with it on her wrist. She wears it daily now. The strap could do with another hole (we’ll probably end up with a custom strap), but the watch head is a perfect “large watch” for her. Not too big at all.

My advice is try a few on. In this group we all know that size isn’t defined by physical dimensions alone, and the choice of styles available in 36mm-ish is so much greater.

I can't understand why it is only available in 36mm ? CW try to get both woman / man segment doing this - too greedy, imho.
The perfect lady watch is about 31-34mm, but not 36mm.

With respect, I’m not sure I agree. It used to be the perception that ladies should only wear tiny watches, but a lot of them seem happy to wear the same sizes as men these days, and why not? A young friend of mine has a very slim wrist, but she happily wears a 40 mm watch and it looks fine on her.

Personally, I think these 36 mm watches are a very good unisex size. The colours don’t do a great deal for me, but I would happily wear the black dial version.

Was doing a price check on the purple one, going thru the checkout to calculate the price after taxes etc...and accidentally hit "purchase". Oops...

I showed the purple one to my wife, she liked it, till she heard the price.. Oh such an innocent flower.. The dials look nice, the fume look they used on the Sunrise and Atoll. nice mix and match. But 36mm with a 20mm lugwith is a bit of a chunky monkey to be fair.

The biggest suprise for me is, its been what? 3 weeks and they havent sold out.

Got to see them this morning at the WatchIt fair, all three colours look great but the purple stands out. The freebie straps are very short though, think it was on the last but one hole on my 175mm wrist.

^^^ The purple dial looks good. They all appeal but they are smaller than I’d like for this style of watch. I have dress watches which are smaller. And I do like my 39mm C63. Still have to think on these.
