Both the image on the card that arrived through the post and this latest one are x-Ray images, so my guess is that you'll be able to see right through this watch from front to back

I think the number of views (and rising) on this thread proves my point!TheBeatles wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 8:12 am As in politics, I don’t think leaks are leaks as such.
Just a careful free publicity marketing ploy. It helps to drive up anticipation and interest.

Re: New sports watch preview
Maybe CW have been messing with materials for some component of the new watch. Space helmet visors are made of polycarbonate (according to google), and polycarbonate seems to be a bit of a modern wonder plastic. Does anyone know if it's ever been used in a watch crystal?

Re: New sports watch preview
I just assumed a 12 with a clear dial?
There has been a fanfare before but then a simpler release.
Transparent images, and an XII but then another X which is see through.
Wonder what the XII is if it isn't a variation on the 12? Unless they are releasing on the 22nd but that is the date of the preview.

I'm kinda hurt not to have received unsolicited correspondence delivered by the postie - maybe it's "Lost in Space"? but this just arrived through the emailing department:

^^^ As pointed out earlier, XIIX is one way to write 18. XVIII is the more common way.

I must admit, all of this speculation is a whole lot of fun. Some great ideas on this forum that I hadn't even considered. Smart drip marketing.

Re: New sports watch preview
Hahaha. I can't imagine them going any smaller than 38mm for a new model launch with a lot of development costs wrapped up in it. From what I've read, the smallest case they can potentially fit the SH21 movement into is a 38mm anyway, but who knows!

Re: New sports watch preview
^^^^ The minimum case size for an SH21 movement to be fitted is, to date, 40.5mm.
One may cross-check this in the Movements section of the CWArchive.

Re: New sports watch preview
The speculation is usually more fun and exciting than the reveal.

'Pioneering' implies some sort of first - or at least 'only a few have been this way before'.,,
