Wonderful comparison photos, thank you. The C36 wears bigger than it’s 36mm size suggests. I was actually hoping for something that would look smaller, not that I’m disappointed by how it appears.

I think I’m going to find this size perfect!

What a fantastic collection of watches you have to compare against! Wonderful.

Very interesting set! It looks like the dial diameter on the C63 and the Explorer II are very close. The dial contributes greatly in how the eye perceives the size.

As an interesting experiment - I measured from the edge of the crystal on both my Sealander 39 mm and my C65 GMT 41mm. Both measured bang on at 33mm. The Sealander to my eye wears like a 40mm. The big dial contributes to that perception I think.

*I know that this isn't exact as the thickness of the crystal etc plays a part

^^^ The dial on the new 36mm Sealander and the 40mm Explorer 2 are basically the same size at approximately 30+mm.

Which is also the same, as near as makes no difference, to the 30mm dials on a 114270 Explorer, 16700 GMT, 16200 DJ and BB58. The dials on a 14060M and 114060 are very slightly under 30mm.

The main criteria for me has always been what is the size of the dial and lug to lug (also shape of lugs).

Another couple of comparison pics that I took this morning. Poor resolution, as I had the curtains closed, due to the heat.

According to this Youtube review, the case size is closer to 36.5mm.

From 3.53min of the review, he measures the case with vernier callipers and gets readings of between 36.3 to 36.5mm.

Gave the strap a go. Quite like it but don't imagine it'll be a regular thing.

Interested to know if anyone has ideas for other straps that might work.

Smooth white straps (stitch less or silicone) may look good with the Blue.

Also, can someone post more wrist shots of the yellow :)

^^^ I have picked out a few straps to try. I think they will also be ok, with the green and red.

Just got my lucerne blue and I saw screwed links! When did this happen? I recall all my previous CW watches were pin and collar and were always a pain to size, even my c63 GMT.

Ah ok, I did not opt for that model. Lol Just resized mine and it wasn't as easy as I thought, stupid double screws lol Why can't they just use a single side screw like everyone else??

You will be looking back at the good old days of pin and collar such is the PITA of trying to work with this crappy double screw system.

Well, i dont know about everybody else, but this system of double super tiny screws of my Grand Seiko makes me enjoy the pins on my CWs. To the point where I just popped into the GS boutique to get a major resize done. I just take care the micro adjustments and nothing else.
