Really pleased with mine! Keen to use with the steel strap once I've taken a few links out, as I think the colour on the dial and leather strap is perhaps a bit strong for everyday use.
Also looks like this is a colour that's going to differ a lot depending on ambient lighting and camera white balance settings

That's two pictures of the blue that look completely different.

I think the matching straps are definitely a bit much for my taste, but think it'll look great on the bracelet or with the right strap

Alistair's photo is a much better representation of the actual colour, at least when viewed from my screen.

You would think I'd have learnt my lesson about sticking to colours that I can wear often.
I also think there was an element of "FOMO" with this purchase ...

How would you guys describe the dial finish? I was looking for wording on the CW website but it's not listed at all. Is it matte, grainy, etc. When I zoom into the pics I see some grain, but not at all in these pics

White dial is definitely polished (just like the 39mm version I had earlier). Nothing excessive.

It’s polished lacquer per CW’s product description:

“As with the 39mm Sealander Automatic, the polished lacquer dial plays host to top-brushed, diamond-polished indexes”

Zoomed in website photos appear to show a hint of a metallic finish in the blue? Can anyone confirm?

Just checking.

Has anyone who ordered after 11:30am UK time, on Thursday 28 July received their watch, or had a dispatch email. If a dispatch email, when did you receive the email?

Thanks.

Based on the images I've seen so far, I think CW has tried to straddle the fence by producing a watch that will sell to both males and females, but produced a size with color combinations that may not suit a large element of either. I can see why they made the decision to make these limited edition as I don't see them as being a huge seller to a vast pool of consumers. The 200 LE seem to be selling like hotcakes, but a more general run might end up having stalling sales.

For example, I had considered getting one for my wife as she likes some of the dial color colors with the color coordinated leather straps, but she doesn't want one because they are too big for her. At present the largest watch she owns is 32mm and she rarely wears it because she thinks it is too big. While there are many women who will be comfortable with a 36mm watch, I would hazard a guess there are a large percentage of women, like my wife, who think they are too big. I have already seen one post on the Facebook CWE page where someone bought one for his wife and is trying to sell it on because it is too big for her.

For myself, I would not and could not pull off the combination of brightly colored leather strap and bright colored dial. If the size were right, I would consider a couple of the dial colors on a bracelet or a dark strap. Unfortunately with my 7 1/4" wrist, I have never been comfortable wearing anything smaller than my 40mm Monta. I could probably enjoy a 39mm watch at a push, but it's about the smallest I would wear. Again, I am sure there are many men that could pull off a 36mm bright dial and strap combo, but there are probably a vast number that could not or would not.

IMHO, if CW want to make this more of a watch to sell in large quantities they would be well served to make some of the summer colored dials for the 39mm Sealander for those who can't pull off a 36mm, and a smaller size in 32mm or 34mm with the bright colored straps aimed at the female customer. I understand that CW stopped selling female only watches a while ago, but this could be just the watch color/size combo that could sell for them.

Thanks, I must have missed that. I wonder why the dial has a grainy texture on the website

Appreciate this is outside the post-11:30 cut off, but I ordered at 11:05 and I got the despatch email yesterday, for delivery tomorrow.

^^^ Thanks.

Well if you got a dispatch email yesterday, for an order at 11:05 and I haven’t yet had one for an order at 11:24, that means either: :)

- they had so many orders, that they haven’t yet made 19 minutes progress since you received your dispatch email, or
- they are very slow, or
- they are not shipping in order, or?

Hopefully I will receive my email tomorrow and delivery on Friday. Fine with that.

Another (probably meaningless) data point... I ordered mine at 10:05 last Thursday and only got my dispatch email at 15:30 today (for delivery tomorrow). Interestingly, I had emailed customer services about 20mins before that (and I saw someone else on CWE say the same thing) :problem:

Good luck and hope you get dispatch email tomorrow for delivery Friday
