That's exactly what I'm doing.

NationOfLaws wrote: Thu Jul 28, 2022 4:40 pm CW’s model strategy is truly baffling sometimes. Why is the bronze Aquitaine the only one that’s COSC certified? Why can you only get the orca black and the cream face Aquitaines as GMTs? Why is the green Sealander the only one with a scratched up dial? Why are the new Sealander colors only in 36mm?

They’re all over the place!
You've captured the broader aspect of my question. The Aquitaine observations are spot on. I've often wondered if its about supply and maybe managing inventory? Maybe its easier to introduce with a few limited offerings then expand? I don't know. As you said, they're all over the place!
I tend to think of Apple as the gold standard of managing their offerings. They typically have a base model of something that you can add onto, but each model in that range have similar color and size options. This weird SKU and inventory sprawl seems asinine to me, but - and this is important - I know nothing about the watch business and it’s entirely possible there’s some weird shadowy cabal forcing them into bizarre supply chain decisions.

Not sure if this is frowned upon (let me know and I'll delete) but those shipping to the US can select the EUR since it's close to the USD now. Be sure to use a CC without any foreign transaction fees. With the MOD10 promo code, the cost is below the 800 USD threshold for additional duties for the bracelet version.

^^^^ The MOD10 promo code is designed for use by serving and retired Military and Emergency Services.

It gets its name from the UK Ministry of Defence.

It’s been mentioned previously and not been deleted. The issue here is I believe the MOD10 code is only for use by military service members. (EDIT: Guy beat me to it while typing this out.)

It actually works out a little better for US customers to use British pounds to purchase rather than euro. It would bring the price on bracelet down to $776 before sales tax (if you’re in a state where CW applies tax) versus $925 when purchasing in USD or $868 in euro. I didn’t check other currencies. And hopefully you’re purchasing with a card that wouldn’t charge conversion fees.

Sorry, I didn't know where MOD10 came from, I just googled for promo codes. Lol It came out to ~778 USD for me when purchased using EUR. Would've liked to use a loupe code but couldn't find one that is active.

I can't decide what color to get, they're all beautiful as individual watches

turquoise-i actually ordered the turquoise monta mentioned earlier in this thread

green-i'm on the rolex waitlist for the green OP. no idea how long that could take, but when i eventually get it i'll probably have to sell the OP. on the positive side that means i can "test drive" the green 36mm configuration...on the downside will that make it less special when i do get the rolex?

yellow-i'm asian and it clashes with my skintone

red-also clashes with my skintone? the most bold color of them all...

The black and white look great. I'd like to see some side by side photos with the 39mm versions to see if they really lost anything without the orange and red highlights.
I think that there are 2 big misses on the LE colours:
No colour matched date wheels. That would have really taken these to the next level
The blue is nice (and thankfully different from Tiffany Blue), but why not do the Atoll blue? Different watch, different size, and still an LE, so using that dial colour shouldn't have upset any Atoll owners.

I very much want to see real world, side-by-side pics to compare them!

Personally I find the non matched date wheels makes the window look more like the baton is there than if it was. Thus adds / contributes to the balance these model have.

Will be interested in when mine is ready, I ordered the white dial yesterday when ‘in stock’, however asked CW to send to me on the 11th or 12th August as im away, along with my twice delayed Atoll. I wonder if they’ll keep one until then or move me to end August delivery batch
