Re: New Releases
I think , as the first watch picture posted has writing around the circumference that is all read with 12 o clock up upwards, then it's fairly clear which way they wanted you to look at the rear. And that makes the logos upside down. That would be cause enough for me to send a watch, especially costing as much as that does, back.

Re: New Releases
With all those cogs etc visible I don't think I'd be looking at the logos on the rare occasion I happened to have the watch upside-down

Re: New Releases
If I had bought this watch, I would have looked at the movement and marvelled at the complexity and artistry of it and probably wouldn’t have thought anything about the differing orientation of the logos. I would have just accepted that they were where they were. I would have also clocked ( ) the different style of the logos and thought that that was a nice nod to the CW journey. I really do need to change my slack attitude!

Re: New Releases
Seems like a perfectly healthy attitude to adopt.
I wish I was the same.
I'd always look at that and think "how the hell did they not spot that" and assume if they aren't paying attention there, then where else are they lacking.

Re: New Releases
I agree that the CHR.WARD logo is upside down in the accepted sense that turning the watch round should not disturb the orientation of the title. But as this is a hand wound watch with a see through back perhaps CW felt that many owners would wish to observe the movement during handwinding without the distraction of the logo appearing upside down. If this is the case a paragraph in the handbook would be welcomed. Maybe it is there?

Re: New Releases
Upside down or not, this still doesn't excuse the fact that they are using old logo bits on a watch that's been launched way after the new branding took effect.
Lazy, and on a 3k watch, it's inexcusable for a company wanting to showcase it as the new flagship model.

Re: New Releases
So...any 49 likeminded people willing to sign up for a custom bronze with a less "disruptive" twin flag (or centred full "logo" at 12) instead of the 9 o'clock nonsense for an extra 60 quid? (Didn't it used to be 50?)
Semi-serious q. Great looking watch but for the logo at 9 and I'd be very interested if C Ward would go for it. Same with the blue, though suspect they would not do a custom job on an LE.

Re: New Releases
Best of luck guys as it was a struggle getting enough people to buy the 50 x 2017 FLE.
Great idea but the evidence from the FLE process says it'll not happen. Give me a PM when you have 48 or 49 people that have paid their money.

Never gonna happen, still it saves me from shelling out c.£700 on another watch I don't need.Mikkei4 wrote:Best of luck guys as it was a struggle getting enough people to buy the 50 x 2017 FLE.

Re: New Releases
The CHR.WARD logo on the movement on this beautiful watch is extremely disappointing, and shows a lack of attention to detail. In the actual words of one of the owners of the company, the CHR.WARD logo is "faux luxury".
So Mike France still wants us to spend £3K on his false luxury goods. I admire his cheek, but don't subscribe to it.
