Just realised that your CW collection is creeping up again, while the Elliot Browns go the other way.

I'll therefore get mine when my number's up.
The Regulator will redress the balance as, once I get it, I'll be selling 2 x CWLs and 1 x Elliot Brown.

I rang CWL on Wednesday and, coincidentally, spoke with Wera as she answered the phone.
The initial shipment of Regulators was delayed in Customs (surprised?) but had arrived at CWL that morning. Wera checked and mine was included.
She advised that she'd get it checked over and shipped soonest. Hoping to receive a dispatched email on Monday / Tuesday.
All cool at this end.

Re: New Regulator....
While I do like the clean lines of this watch, I can't help but wonder if they even tried to place tiny lumed minute dots around the perimeter? I don't think that would've cluttered things too much?

If CWL had done this I wouldn't be buying one!BadClams wrote:While I do like the clean lines of this watch, I can't help but wonder if they even tried to place tiny lumed minute dots around the perimeter? I don't think that would've cluttered things too much?
It would ruin the minimalist look.

Re: New Regulator....
I guess I'm thinking about those folks that mentioned the traditional (?) requirement for being able to precisely determine the minutes on a watch designated as a Regulator. I suppose I'm only feeding the form vs function debate. Re: New Regulator....
Maybe you could get an original Reggie to accompany your new one and then complete the standard and minimalist set....... Just saying......Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:If CWL had done this I wouldn't be buying one!BadClams wrote:While I do like the clean lines of this watch, I can't help but wonder if they even tried to place tiny lumed minute dots around the perimeter? Is that you 'just saying' in the light of your declaration of going on a Big Pilot hunt and a desire/need to sell some watches?smegwina wrote:Maybe you could get an original Reggie to accompany your new one and then complete the standard and minimalist set....... Just saying......

You may have hit on something - new marketing strategy! Lots of new products are introduced around Christmas time, why not Corporate Bonus time! People get paid a lot of money for ideas like that!!

Re: New Regulator....
Here we are ladies and gents.
The first 'in the wild' photos (taken in haste and excitement on my phone).
Please excuse the dust on the final photo.
Feels really comfortable on the wrist, strap is very flexible and I'm sure will gain patina in time.
Unpacking it, from its new twin-cross embossed box, found it ticking away merrily set to the correct time. Thank you CWL; nice touch.
Just need to adjust how I read the time on it; shouldn't take long to acclimatise.
No doubt more comments to come.
