Then there's the Moon phase....what did that achieve in order for it to go brand free.
I thought it was a pretty unique visualization. A field of stars, with a large bright moon, and almost nothing else.
There's nothing else like it out there, so I can certainly see that a logo might be superfluous, and might detract from the simplicity.
I'll love someone to photoshop the twin flag logo and movement reference at 6 o'clock same as the moon glow and I really think it would finish the watch off, but I see what you're saying about simplicity but when someone see's it and thinks wow that's amazing but who made it?...is where Christopher Ward is missing out. It's not a very well known brand and it might warrant folk to delve more into the world of CW
Any photo shoppers out there

I’m afraid the twin flags on their own isn’t really going to help here. Unless you are already know CW the logo is going to do very little to help you identify who made the watch.

Iain’s Law: Any discussion on the Christopher Ward forum, irrespective of the thread title or subject matter, will eventually lead to someone mentioning the Bel Canto if the thread continues for long enough.

You could Google twin flag watch logo....I just did it and low and behold Christopher Ward appears....you can't Google an empty dial
Unfortunately we only know the logo represents two flags because CW have told us.
Is someone sees the logo and doesn’t know what it is then the chances of them googling twin flag watch logo is more unlikely than them knowing what it is in the first place.

That's actually a fair shout Iain, familiarity breeds contempt applies here
And like this thread (and the one that’s been mentioned on another group) by not having a logo that alone is creating discussion. So perhaps the people who can’t see a logo will ask which company produces the watch and lo and behold CW become the topic!
For me, the logo and branding free dial place creativity and artistic integrity above brand building and commercialism. Personally, I'd be less likely to buy it with branding visible. Swiss made seems pointless as well.
Christopher Ward look to be reaching that "critical mass" in terms of people being aware of the brand. Watches like the Twelve and Bel Canto have pushed the company into clear view of their target market, maintaing the momentum will probably need a steady stream of halo models, which can only be a good thing for us.
My personal taste in watches is all about wearing something a bit different. Not obvious is an objective, one that, for me, Rolex ownership cannot achieve.
