I took my info from the Meistersinger website. I have no issue about it being modified. I was a little surprised to see it didn't state a JJ model. And naturally, I can no longer find the info I referenced yesterday. I vaguely recollect it was linked to an LE or special edition (handwound?).

But this is the info currently available from their website, which is confusing as it references the stratoscope, not lunascope, when you click on the movement information.

The MS Luna automatic movement ticks inside the Stratoscope and is fitted with the moon phase module developed by MeisterSinger. The movement is based on the Swiss Sellita SW220, which is specially modified for MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches. The Stratoscope’s moon phase display is exceptionally precise and only needs a slight adjustment every 122 years. The date display can be conveniently set via its quick-switch function. The rotor provides the watch with a power reserve of 38 hours.

The lunarscope is 41mm, the stratoscope 43mm. I guess they could use the same movement. Interestingly, AD info states the watch is 40mm and uses 'ETA 2836-2 with MeisterSinger moon phase module'. I guess it has evolved since first being introduced?

It's giving me a headache! I will go and look at in the flesh when the AD returns to it's original location (assuming it will). The Mall is currently closed for renovation.

@Caller, here is some info from the archive that might shed some light (see the boxed info in the screenshot). It certainly has evolved, with the ETA 2836-2 being used as the base in the beginning but a rolling changeover to the SW220 happened at some point.

Thanks for that, which confirms the evolved status of the model. Saves me searching again for my lost initial source!

“The most asked-for complication was the moonphase. What we wanted to do was celebrate that magnificent celestial being in all of its glory. And so none of this ‘small aperture at 6 o’clock' nonsense for us. We wanted a huge moonphase."

I bolded the important bit

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you!
Do you think it is possible to have a subtle moonphase complication in the future?
Only Mike France can say, but I’d guess the chances are very very low.
Yup, you're right, I agree.

I ordered one- for december. I also ordered a bel canto for July 2024. I need 2 more posts- lol to look at some of the forum. These are very different than anything I own, but I collect and love watches. Neither of these are for the practical person who needs a watch to tell time so they don't miss the bus--but I'm not that guy anyway.

I am curious, if you allow please, which movement is actually used in those Lunascope and Stratoscope models?

For the Lunascope, I think that was subsequently answered by others. As for the stratoscope, I have no idea. Sorrry
