I spoke to Tabitha just now to consolidate my Order back into my main account (had to order 2VEV yesterday as a Guest as the Site point blank refused my normal Login ...) ... anyways she says that they wont start dispatching until 'early next week' ....

Why!!?
Disappointing that it should take so long to despatch. I recently bought my seiko matcha from spain and it was here less than 24 hours later
Cheers now, Paul

Gents.

Its worth remembering that CW are working under social distancing and Lockdown arrangements.

To this end, those staff that can, are working from home e.g. most of the CS department (Vallen is working only one day per week at CW Towers).

The service/repair team are working with hugely reduced capacity; they have to do the final QC on a watch before it goes out the door.

It is no surprise therefore that it will take a few days to get all the initial orders for the 1 VEV & 2 VEV away; particularly with the spike in orders there seems to have been.

Remember; good things come to those who wait.

Given that there are only 14 of the 2 VEV left in stock, from a limited run of 150, and that when I ordered late on Thursday evening there were 52 (I checked... I was bored )... I think it's safe to say this model at least will be sold out sometime over the weekend... so yes, I think it's been hugely popular for them

I'm in no rush... just happy to have secured what looks like a lovely addition to the collection :D

Wow, really!?
Only 14 left...thought it might be popular, but jeez. Glad I got my request in for a specific serial number when I did. Well done CW.
Can't wait for mine, and of course it doesn't really bother me to wait a few days. My earlier comment was made in jest.
Roll on next week!

That's based on popping the bracelet version in the shopping bag multiple times, but I guess they only had 150 watch heads across all bracelet/strap combinations, not 150 per strap option... so yes it was only... however, that was an hour ago

Regarding the 2VEV, what can a person do with 1/10 seconds, seconds, and hours, with no minutes? Am I missing something?

Yes. The elapsed minutes are recorded on a separate minutes hand on the main dial.

Wait... people actually use the chronographs functions? I'll be the first person to admit I never use it... occasionally when I'm bored and I want to see the hands move... 8)

I just ordered mine and was able to. I don't know how to check how many are left but for those who are on the fence for the 2 VEV, better make you decision soon.

Yep. A few times a week usually. Going out walking, timing stuff in the kitchen, a few other things. Useful piece of kit.

. . . . but is that 'in stock' or out of the 150?

There is still a batch in Biel. I know 'cos that's where the watch with my memorable serial number is.

I agree, Guy

I initially wanted a specific number and was told it was in Switzerland. However I changed my mind, so may get an “in stock” item.

On a separate issue, it gets my goat when someone says there are a certain number in stock. This happens frequently, I think I remember someone saying something on the lines over 50 still available. No wonder the damn site crashes etc when baskets are filled just to see how many there are left.

Actually it’s now gone to pre-order for 20 May, so looks likely that they didn’t release the full 150 onto their stock system.

That explanation of a batch in Switzerland sounds reasonable and means there are still some available then
