New GMT teased, coming soon!

Post by Timepiece.Pete »

CW just posted a reel teasing a new GMT. My assumption was that the words indicated what.three.words locations, so I looked them up:

vocal.cushiony.parades is a beach front location in Mallorca
faces.canal.swaying is on the coast in the US state of Oregon
vehicle.brief.yowl is way up north in the Arctic ocean off the coast of Russia.

These are all water locations which makes sense if it's a Trident model, something like a C60 Anthropocene replacement with 600m WR, right?

The bezel suggests a GMT in the C60 300 lineup. I’m not crazy about the colors on that bezel, though.

Why do you think 300 and not 600?

The steel inner bezel ring is a hallmark of the 300 series. Although that feature started with the C60 #Tide which is a C60 600. So who knows! My guess is it's a C60 300 since that is CW's hotter seller at the moment.

My two penn'orth whilst patiently awaiting the big August reveal?

1. Nobody NEEDS a GMT complication but it's something else to look at, something else for the internet to have an anxiety over.

2. "Traveller" or real GMT? See 1. above. Internet fan fans get over yourselves.

3. Bezel colours: there's no MUST about pepsi colours but I'll give it four hours after launch before some internet watch fan gets tetchy about the colour change not quite lining up with the 3 and 9 markers.

4. My W3W address also has the word canal so I claim my free watch Christopher Ward.

Well here you go

Not sure if he should have unveiled it just yet.
I think I'm getting one

It was embargoed until 0800 BST today so he is fine. There will be a few days’ delay until it is ready to order on the CW site. Watch this space…

Wow, CW have been busy. Nice additions to the range...the navy blue dial strikes me initially as being the most appealing and likely to sell the most, the graduated blue is giving out Atoll vibes but I think I prefer my white shark.

Not my color choices but I like where things are going! Love a black/white bezel and black dial.
