I really like it, but at that price I'll stick with my C9 FLE. It's close enough in theme (subdial at 6) and colour to make do with.

What a beautiful watch. Congrats to the CW Team.

Unfortunately WAY out of my price range. Still I wish CW great success with the launch.

Superficially similar, but actually quite different?

How do these two compare, spec and price wise?

I respect what cwl is doing but this is less homage and more copy. I hadn't known about the Bremont watchuntil this post but now that I've seen it looks blatantly ripped off. I understand that the c60 ( which I own) had design cues from other brands but this is a little too close. It is a beautiful watch however. I like the seconds markings instead of hour markings on the Bremont

Hoped for gulf colours to be incorporated on the dial. If I didn't know otherwise I would have no idea that this represented a GT40, a truly great car. Sure it will be a success with so few pieces.
All the best.

Sorry, but the Bremont wins by a lot for me. About the only thing that I like better about the CW version is the crown. Not that the CW is bad (far from it), but enough of the small details of the Bremont make it the clear winner.

Would the price difference sway you? :)

I think there is a similarity to the C9 FLE too Garry.

Not even close for me - the GT40 looks much nicer than the Bremont. The power reserve looks great at the bottom. Regardless of price I would have to pick the GT40.

^^^ I agree, the C9 looks better to me than the Bremont. It also doesn't have another company's logo on the dial like the Bremont does. That would put me off... I mean, I don't own a GT40, but that wouldn't stop me buying the C9 if I could drop the money on it. The Bremont, in my mind at least, could only be worn if you were a Jag owner, and even then I'd think twice about it....

I'd like to think the GT40 improves on where the Jaguar has failed, the power gauge is certsinly a nice touch. The minute markers instead of hour is also a better design. Having said that, why oh why CW decided to adopt an excisting design in a new watch is still a mystery to me, maybe CW came up with the design scheme first but Bremont released theirs earlier that I don't know and wouldn't/couldn't verified.

I think both the GT40 and the Bremont are nice, but both are flawed as wristwatches due to the lack of markings between 4 and 8.

I like the PR feature on the CW, although the caseback of the Bremont is substantially better IMO.

Actually though, I'd probably choose the other Bremont/Jaguar model - the MkII...
