I like it so much that I've just pre ordered one, on the rubber strap.

I like the direction this is going in, but having seen two cracked sapphire dials, the sapphire is not for me.

However, with the more prestigious movement giving a longer power reserve and slimmer profile and the removal of the inner ring, this is looking very much like it could be a C60 600 Pro in the making. It's certainly a step up from the 300.

So is it blue sapphire or blue plastic?

Perhaps you have forgotton that this question was resolved almost 5 years ago when you stated, "I’m confused".

The answer was easily found in Loupe 17 - page 19 when the C60 Sapphire was launched.

If the process was changed I am certain they would mention it.

so a clarification is needed on the website then as to not mislead new customers.

^^ Mislead customers about what?

The website states only sapphire. I don't see where is says "blue sapphire" in the specs. I don't see what needs clarification.

It seems that you are the only one bothered by this perceived oversite. Perhaps it would be best if you contacted Mike France directly with the specifics as you understand them.

So, so close to being my next CW.

But, I don’t like seeing the date wheel and some of the inner workings through the dial.

I get that, Brian. A movement seen through a glass case back can be a thing of beauty, especially if decorated, but I’ve never found the dial side of a movement particularly attractive. Mind you, I don’t like skeleton watches either.

Not directly related, but the Miyota 90S5 was designed for exactly this application.

There are better looking skeletonised Sellita movements that could look great behind the blue sapphire (and without the date wheel too)

Have CW sort of abandoned the rush to 36mm now?

I'm a big fan of Miyota movements, but then CW wouldn't be able to put "Swiss made" on the dial would they?

Something seemingly important to a "British watchmaker" ...

As a 36mm supporter, I'm happy to let the bigger-wristed have all the sapphire dial watches!

Like a few posters here, I have never found it appealing to see through the dial to see the top side of the movement.
