I’m leaning towards the “hate it,” at the moment. It seems gimmicky.

And I’m not so sure about the watch as a whole, just not to my tastes.

I concur. Don't love it.
It all seems gimmicky.

One man’s muscular and sporty is another man’s twee and sparkly! :)

Just noticed the screws. They’re much less prominent than the anthropocene. Helped by the colour I expect, and the fact there are only two of them.

Mmm, a sapphire bezel rather than the ceramic on the Trident 300. I'd have to see it in person to see how much I liked that but as it's 42mm I won't be making a showroom appointment to view just this.

It's already on the site listed separately here:

https://www.christopherward.com/watch-s ... DC-ST.html

It's a bit pricey, but is part of the 3-for-2 deal currently.

Slightly odd only having screws at 18 and 48 minutes, but they're not too noticeable. Having four screws instead of two would be better because of symmetry but worse because of appearance...

But at least it's not 39, 38 or 36mm. Almost anything would be muscular and sporty compared to all the watches intended for the twiglet-wristed and Fratello writers. Is it more twee and sparkly than a #Tide? Hard to say but if I get the chance I will wear my #Tide when I see the Sapphire Edge.

Thanks, checked when the watch first launched and didn’t seem to be there. That is a bit pricey, but I’ll probably be tempted at some point

Me too. I think it will look good on my C60 #Tide.
